Make sure you get the Youtube TV app on your TV and Roku, not just the regular Youtube app. See the first post on this page for a link to the roku app.

There are also Android and iPhone (I think) apps. You'll need to install those on your devices to use them on the go. Again, search "Youtube TV" not just Youtube.

Everybody else covered it, but yes Youtube TV has an app on Roku and pretty much every other streaming device. If you go with a standalone Roku, I'll give you a couple more suggestions.

First, don't get the streaming stick if you want to use a single remote to work the TV power, volume, and device. Those use wifi direct remotes which work well but you can't get an inexpensive universal remote for them. Get the Roku Express or Premier. Express uses IR and RCA makes a good universal remote you can get at Wal-Mart for $7. I don't have a Premier, but supposedly it comes with a remote that will also work your TV.

Second, download the app for your devices. Not only can you work the Roku, you can also stream the audio from whatever you're watching to that device.

Exactly.

Article - "Understanding packet loss and ping"

Ping is how fast you can get the next packet moving your direction down the line once a packet is dropped. And streaming video and playing video games online are very similar activities.

But per usual, you're too much of an ignorant, stubborn cocksucker to put your ego aside and discuss a topic in a civil manner.

Regarding replying to you in the future, I'll do what I damn well please. If I do, it'll be up to you whether you can see around the dick in your mouth well enough to reply in turn. I really won't give a frick.

From the absolute bottom of my heart, frick you. You're just an absolutely garbage human being. It's like your mother sharted her panties and the result animated into a real boy.

To everyone else reading this, I will not reply aggressively to this frickwad again in this thread and will not be derailing threads because of him. 3down10, you are just not worth it. Literally. But in this post - frick you, you fricking piece of shite.

I just read this.

I watched episode one last night. Definitely gonna watch the series. Ralph Macchio looks weird in his forties. Of course I look like an Addonis at 43.

I don't know what package everyone is on... but the amount you save "cutting the cord," isn't that much.

We pay 100 bucks a month with Xfinity for their fastest high-speed internet, and a pretty decent tv package which has all the sports channels, and even HBO.

Unless I'm missing something - where are the dollars here? $45 for DirecTVNow/YoutubeTV/Hulu +$45 for internet = $90.

Is everyone that in arms about $10 a month?

We called xfinity and got the internet essentials program for 9.99 per month. WiFi is fast enough for all of our devices. You have to have kids in school to qualify. In my case I saved a substantial amount of money. Ten bucks for internet plus subscription fees around fifty bucks for YouTube after my trial ends.

Our DirecTV subscription was around $150 per month, so we are saving $100 per month.

I am concerned about data usage. I am wondering how much data usage I would rack up per month by streaming You Tube TV or Hulu. My limit is 1 terabyte/mo. If my ISP is going to charge me a lot more for over usage than there is not a real advantage in ditching dish.They get you one way or another. I recently read that there is bipartisan support in Congress for changing the laws governing cable TV to help consumers. I hope something good comes from it.

Streaming video data usage:

320p= ~300mb/hour

480p= ~0.7gb/hour

720p= ~0.9gb/hour

1080p= ~1.5gb/hour

2k= ~3gb/hour

4k= ~7.3gb/hour

I doubt you will even come close to using that much data.

A thousand gigabytes is certainly a lot, and depending on his device, he ought to be able to monitor his data usage throughout the month. Still he probably should stay away from torrents/acestream links, though, as upload might be being monitored as well.

Second YouTube TV. It's among the more expensive options now (50 bucks) but I haven't seen anything else (including cable) come close to the sports coverage.

We don't have a cap but we've hit 600 and 700 gig without trying much. You get one or two xboxes downloading 50 gig games, plus multiple TVs streaming in HD...it's not inconceivable.

I think the most I ever used was 600gb with 4 people streaming + gaming.

You have some kind of introductory bundle?

I had Direct TV, which was $125 a month and was about to go to $160. YouTube TV is $50. My parents have spectrum cable for TV and internet and their cost is $150. Internet for both of us is $58.

I won’t be saving $10 a month. My savings for 2020 will be $1,320. That is a weekend trip to the beach for my family of three.

I subscribe to Hulu Live tv every year during football season and cancel after. Works great for me.
