He threw two picks. One was because he simply did not see the linebacker or thought he could get it over the LB's head. The other was an end of half toss into the end zone. Otherwise, he completed 11 of his other 15 throws with only completion where he was definitely late over the middle.
I don't know where people are making sweeping assessments after this game in particular. Body of work since South Carolina to present, I sorta get the complaints but I don't think he's playing at bench-able levels.

I question how much the team prepared for yesterday’s game. They could’ve spent a day on that team and still won. Bernard and Brailsford didn’t play either. Back ups were rotated liberally from the start. I don’t see how anyone could take much from yesterday. The missed field goal was concerning. Outside of that, there is really nothing to take from what we saw. The defense holding that team to 34 total yards is impressive no matter who the opponent was.

I think we didn’t spend any time on this opponent. We worked on getting better. The focus was clearly on running the ball to improve execution. I don’t know how much good that’s going to do in game 11 but they certainly auditioned every back a bit and tried to work Jam out either as a senior day send off or hopes to get his yips resolved.

You can't put a QB in that spot

You can't. The only thing from that game that made me worry was the missed field goal - a chip shot at that. As you mentioned, we were liberally rotating players in and out of the game from the very first minutes of the opening quarter.

It was a fast moving game with all the running plays. I think I read where this was the shortest game Alabama has played in a long time. That was by design obviously. Smart move by the staff.

Tua had way more game reps his freshman year than either Mack or Russell this season plus he had the benefit of the bowl prep practices which is basically another fall camp. Not the same situation at all.

This staff cleared the benches. It felt like we had the most participation since a pre-pandemic OOC game. They dug Richard Young out from under the dog house to take some snaps.

Did you watch the game or just see highlights??
The first pick was an inaccurate ball behind the WR cutting inside and straight to the LB who barely had to jump. Even if the LB wasn't magically not there it's incomplete.
He also almost threw the second INT another drive but the LB just dropped it. It was thrown right at him.
The actual second INT doesn't even matter it was a hail mary.
The primary issue is you like others look at stat line and ignore the actual play.
1. Ty was inaccurate on short passes and would have had more incomplete if not for some really good catches. That's part of why Talty even had to take a FG.
2. Ty did not throw attempt to throw fade routes. Outside of that hail mary he basically ignores them
3. Ty is still holding that ball. Even against this poor defense he isn't reading fast enough and getting rid of it.
The reason I point these things out is because after the FSU loss, Ty immediately showed up the next week different... if you remember it was a bad team but Ty was sharper, quicker processing, more accurate, more commanding.
He didn't yesterday and I know that has to be worrisome for KDB and Grubb.
This is not about some fake injury conspiracy guys who can't process certain players not playing well need to make up to COPE. It's about our QB not being mentally locked in for whatever reason and our staff needing to find a way to wake him the heck up.
This is all mental.
It's more about family issues, personal issues, women issues, etc... than it is body. At this point of the season we're all hurting anyways.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I know from folks that were there... This great conspiracy some of y'all have against him is ridiculous. He was a good guy and bleeds crimson.
Back to Ty.. if ty wakes up...it is what it is. This is ty. I would love to see more Austin Mack, but Deboer won't make the change. Just like he keeps trotting talty out there.

They literally can't accept that he was well liked, a good guy, etc..
His problem was at any moment mentally he could fall apart at the sign on adversity so he wasn't dependable. Combine that with his athletic abilities, his deep ball ability and it's hard for coaches to not go with that when you're trying to win games.
My issue was when he crumbled last season against rocky top, we should have pulled him.
I don't get why people need to make cope lies and conspiracies. Same as those saying Ty Simpson is hurt because he isn't processing quickly and holding on to the ball... as if there is a bodily injury that makes you do that?

That first swing pass mack threw to his left... Beautiful touch on that throw. In stride..
I think that's where ty has really lost it... No touch. That int throw was late, but also no touch to go over the defender. I think he's pressing too hard and just needs to remember to protect the ball, make first downs. It's like he's trying to rekindle the early season success by trying to force it.

Yeah, this is my opinion too. He's had a few missed passes in the last few weeks where he was trying to rifle the ball on a rope when his receiver had the open space to just put a bit of arc on it so the receiver could run under it. He's not Tua, he should stop trying to hit these receivers in stride with laser throws and just get the damn completion even if it slows the receiver up a bit.

Let all that pain out but couldn't address a point.
Now tell me more about stat lines while avoiding what actually occurred in the game

Nobody wants to argue you on here anymore because it is clear that what you really want is for everyone to tell you how smart and right you are. We are all sick of your shite. If you need affirmations, take Bear’s advice and call your mamma.

You said something wrong. I corrected it. You took it personally. That's what happened.
When I get something wrong I'm very open to hearing about it. I don't get defensive or make personal attacks
I own it. Sorry you couldn't

Personally, I think Riley is our best back. I love Hill but I'm not sure he's quick enough to be the starter. And I love Jam but he just isn't running with enough vision and control this year.
