You give him too much credit.

So we’re terrified of Auburn and terrified of playing in the SECCG.
Honest to goodness, does this sport do nothing but make some of you miserable?

There are definitely some soft fans(and several Auburn/LSU trolls which the mods let on the board). There are at least 2 weasel rival fans that downvote anything optimistic and just stir up shite

When you call them out on this they get mad.
The irony is they are so terrified but want the teenagers and guys in their 20s to be fearless perfection

I mean look I am not looking forward to Saturday. It’s gonna be a slog and likely take years off our life. I think we still win, but it’s certainly possible we do some dumb stuff and lose.
But loudly saying we have no chance against a 5-6 (1-6) team and trying to figure out how to avoid playing a championship game?
I said this last year and it’s still true - the Saban era corrupted people to the point where if we aren’t 95%+ guaranteed to win they cannot handle it. Which is a problem, because that is not normal at all and certainly not feasible in this league in the NIL era.

Not so fast my friend! This committee has an agenda…keep as many SEC teams out of the playoffs as they possibly can. It’s already been spelled out for you if you go back and listen to the question they were asked about losing your championship game. Did they answer, “it will not count against you???”
NO, they didn’t! Last year they did.
I say we must win both games and erase all doubts! Look how far we dropped after losing by 2 to a ranked team.
Lose the championship game….don't be surprised if we are not in.

SHOULD be, yes but not a sure thing. If we lose the SECCG we'll have 3 losses and BYU will raise a stink even if they lose their CG and have 2 losses (albeit against a pitiful schedule)

It doesn’t matter what any school thinks.
They either leave us in, or drop us out. But and a huge but
BYU loses and leaves the 11 spot for Miami I’d imagine. So it comes down to will they put Miami above us at 10. That’s it. I don’t think they will, they will say Bama played in a conference championship and Miami didn’t.

IF we make the SECCG, is it possible - 1) for Bama to decline participation 2) if participating can the game end in tie so that SEC ensures maximum teams in playoffs?
My god this playoff system blows.
Here’s a take, the SECCG is a far more legitimate championship than a playoff made up of teams from disparate conferences that starts 3 weeks after the regular season, takes over a month to complete, isn’t played on campus, and is played on week nights in January.
