It will do a lot more than you realize. Having a competent coordinator that understands his players strengths and weaknesses and designs a plan to maximize those goes a long way.
Having a coordinator that looks for weaknesses in the defense or takes what the defense gives him goes along way. Having a coordinator that doesn't rely on analytics but instead on seeing what is working and what is not, the emotions of the game and sticking to a run game will go a long way. This will bleed over to other areas of the game.

If you guys get your wish with some of these clowns getting tossed around to "replace Deboer", we absolutely deserve what's inevitably going to happen because it's about to get a lot worse.

The number of people who don’t understand satire is pretty incredible, especially if the word is in your username.

Obviously this won’t happen. It is just me saying I would rather watch that than what KD and Grubb are rolling out every week.

CKD is not the right fit for Alabama, he's a good coach but not a great coach , his offense is great if he has a good o-line that can give his receivers time to run long routes. If not then it struggles, I watched his games while at Washington, he was winning but teams with good d-lines gave his teams trouble, he didn't score a lot against those teams. Just about every team in the sec has great d-linemen. Tennessee is a bad matchup for his offense.
He needs to be bought out and fired , he will win 9 games every year maybe 10 , but we won't win a natty under him . He doesn't have the fire in his belly to be a hard-nose coach , he tries to act that way here this year but it's not his personality.
Bama needs to cut ties this year , Bob Chesney is the real deal , he's young 49, he's brash and cocky.
He rebuilds programs hard , tough , in one year he turned UCLA from powder puffs to a pretty good team. He's done it every place he's been. He could be a great coach for 10 to15 years.
Bring in Pruitt to be the dc and get back to arse kicking defense.
