Howard Schnellenberger has passed away at 87 per Yahoo! Sports. Schnell was an assistant to Coach Bryant before transforming Miami into a national powerhouse and turning around Louisville.

One of the last old school hard core coaches. But the man also was a gentleman and a class act. RIP....

Man who recruited Joe Namath to Alabama and started the Miami dynasty. Had a good career as coach.
