Thank you! Too many people want to blame the issues on the Oline when they are not the problem. Interesting that Slovis has had more time but one of the only QBs that has a worse rating on throws over 20 yards.
The problem has always been the guy developing the plan, adjusting and creating the plays.
Even our weak points can be hidden or covered with small adjustments or a creative touch. However BOB doesn't have it and we suffer because of that.
Put it like this; in his second year can even the biggest BOB defender say we have grown as an offense?
The biggest Golding haters can't say we haven't grown as a defense.. even if he can at times revert to old habits.

Does this only account for actual attempts or does it include plays where the play design was for a vertical pass but pressure forced a checkdown or caused a broken play?
Regardless I think Bryce's issue with the deep ball is the same one Jalen had. He holds it a second too long and it usually results in an overthrow or gives the DB time to recover and contest it. Jamo masked a lot of that because it's almost impossible to overthrow a dude who can outrun the ball. I don't really get it either because on short and intermediate stuff he has a lightning quick trigger. Jalen struggled to get the ball out on time to all levels of the field early in his career. With Bryce it seems to exclusively be on downfield throws.

We had one long pass that was wide open down field last game. I think it was Burton on a deep slant from right to left, but BY missed him by 5 yards. That should have been an easy TD. Hopefully we have a fix with the O line after the change at left guard. But, we have only played one college team, Texas and they put all kinds of pressure on BY.
Most of the problem was left guard and center, plus a major screw up by the running back on one blitz. Dalcourt has played well vs the 2 high school teams but not vs Texas.

There is one more thing to add here
Bryce is #2 in "time to throw" on throws > 20 yards downfield. So the issue is not protection.
How many of those seconds were ticking off while he was twisting, dodging, and scrambling for his life, though? The times that he had a clean pocket often there were no open receivers and he held the ball too long in vain, further skewing that time stat. Not that Bryce has been perfect, the timing with the new receivers is still not there yet.

Another insane stat 60.7% of Stetson Bennett's pass attempts are within 9 yards of the LOS 31.5% of Stetson Bennett's pass attempts are behind the LOS
If Alabama can somehow get to the SECCG I think the matchup REALLY well with that offense. Like, REALLY well.
Georgia hasn’t shown much of a run game and Alabama would more than likely keep Georgia from hurting them on the ground.
And the vet safeties and linebackers Alabama has shouldn’t get too roughed up by Georgia’s little dink and dunk stuff and lack of explosive over the top WR stuff.

Bryce being calm af gets SO much attention but I’ve always thought(and said) that he needs to freakin pick up the sense of urgency. You can be calm and still uh, move faster.
He’s at his best when things break down a bit and he’s moving and scanning and firing into small windows to a receiver he just noticed.
So why move in slow motion and take your time in EVERY other part of the game? It’s what he does when someone gets open deep or when it’s time for him to run. Way too calm and not decisive.

Aaron Anderson (If close to 100%), Jo Jo Earle, & Tyler Harrell will improve these stats just as soon they are healthy.
