Interesting that Tejas likes Smart more than Marshall

Probably due to age more than anything else.

Shaka should be a little cheaper too, which could be a factor if you believe the rumor that they want to stay below $3M per year.

We need Rizzy or RTR to come in here and post what Lucky said. They're the ones I know for sure that have 247 access.

-He thinks we should have an answer from Marshall within 48 hours
- discussions are going well.
- Marshall will only have his family in the room when he makes a final decision, so don't expect any leaks.
-UTx could be a factor, but sources are indicating that they prefer Shaka.

Nothing negative there, so I say we all just get our hopes as high as possible and see what happens.

Thank you. Best news in a couple of days. Even if he says no, there's still a chance.

This was from Mitch Carr on Twitter:
Serious now: a source with #Texas tells @8NEWS @Kerri8News that Shaka Smart is #1 on UT's list; #VCU trying hard to counter #ShakaWatch2015

I mean what do we take from a statement like discussions are going well? Do we assume that means we think we're getting him or just that he hasn't hung up the phone yet?

At this point, I have no idea what's happening. I'm just going to assume we end up with a new coach and new possibilities, which is what I've wanted for three years.

To me it means he's listening.

He's intrigued and considering making the move, but perhaps isn't 100% sold yet.

Get to work, Bill.

I'm thinking we could probably hear something basically at any time. Lucky said one way or another we will hear something soon.

I think we get him if Shaka goes to UTx. I think we miss if UTx pursues Marshall.

If he wasn't interested I'm sure we would have already said no so we can move on. That tells me they are really thinking this over.

I don't guess he's given odds or made a prediction on what he thinks will happen has he?
