Nick screamed at the top of his lungs that this was going to happen with both NIL and the portal. Due to happenstance, it just happened to occur at the Program he returned to glory by damn near his sheer determination alone. Saban simply outworked everyone and ALWAYS stayed about two moves ahead of everyone else.

With his retirement, does anyone honestly think he's just going to sit on the dock and watch the ducks shite in the yard. Does everyone gloating on tRant really think this is the downfall of Alabama?

You write this down as a Bamarep cod lock guarantee. Watching what he called his most enjoyable team simply get pulled apart at the seams by this NIL/Portal bullshite is going to light a furnace in his arse like the early days.

Instead of focusing all that fire and energy into the "process" he's going to hound the NCAA relentlessly to put some structure to this shite.

He's also going to do what Saban does best. Out innovate everyone when it comes to NIL. It's not going away so he'll figure out ways to out-work everyone else with it.

He's not going to just sit around and watch what he built get torn down. Y'all forget, Saban hates getting beat more than he enjoys winning. It's obvious he's forever a Bama man and will use all that energy into fixing this nonsense.

I firmly believe this.

Oh, and frick all those disloyal panty waste pussies that leave. They were already getting NIL money so they can frick off.

I don’t blame any player for leaving.

But the system is just a wreck. Idk if it can ever be fixed. And if this genuinely wrecks Alabama’s football program for years and years I hope it’s never fixed(the system).

If you read between the lines in the Rece Davis sit-down, he absolutely thinks college football needs an overhaul. He wouldn’t say it in the interview, but I bet he probably feels college football should be governed separately from the rest of college athletics, and it should have some kind of commissioner. Or something like that. And I agree, he will have a part in that.

If I’m not mistaken, the Yea Alabama office is in the stadium. His new office is in the stadium. Coincidence?

I can’t tell you how many people “not built that way” I’ve seen slowly mellow out and change once they hit their 70s.

It’s not a criticism or anything like that. It’s just life.

You will not see Nick in T-town after the end of April. He is trying to assist in keeping this roster and that is it.

You've gone the long way around the barn.

He's not but he's tired. I think catching his breath will make him appreciate his free time.

I hope not. If DeBoer is the real deal..Bama isn't needing a coach anytime soon, and Bama will get from the portal. It's going to take some time for the portal to give what it's taken but it will. I don't want structure now, maybe in 5 years but let AU LSU UTx ... Etc experience this

FYI we did experience it when O was fired. You just didn’t notice because Alabama was benefiting.

I would love for Saban to be a commissioner of college football fyi

Those that created this mess intended to create this mess.

Take a deeper look at who is really benefiting from this clusterfeck. Open the eyes. It's right before you.

Disloyal?

They were loyal to Saban and never hid it. What we needed was our new coach to come in and keep guys who could reign them in or have the presence like a Saban to get them to fall in line

The first step towards fixing the mess is people who experience the problem to make common cause. Yeah, Alabama fans didn’t care at the time because they lacked the context. They get it now. Of course, some always recognized it. Everyone has got to stand astride of history and say, “No More,” right now.

No man alive on the planet was walking into that room with the gravitas and resume of Nick Saban. The team is just going to be much less talented than it could have been in 2024. The key now is stopping the bleed on the roster and getting a recruiting win on NSD. 2024 ain’t going to be what it could have been but the goal is for it to not be a program setback.

It was going to be a Clusterfeck regardless. Hope they all leave by Friday that are going to leave.

Spring drills might be a challenge with the number of players. Recruiting going forward is what matters and we will see how that goes over these next 2-3 months with Jr's coming to town. I have 7-5 for 2024.

There is a certain segment of society with a “give me what’s mine” mentality. The scale has been tipped and CFB is in a death spiral. It’s only a matter of time.
