We have no running game since Najee left. We have to throw 90% of the time and teams know it. Mississippi State has a helluva QB in Rogers but they couldn't run the ball and they gave out in the end. Gibbs has amazing talent but he's a shifty back and doesn't have the running style for running between the tackles all day like Derrick Henry or Najee. B Rob was great in between the tackles but lacked break away speed that Gibbs does possess.

Until we can run more consistently and keep defenses honest, our offense will struggle.

We need to run some RB screens, that would make a D pay for all the blitzing or more swing passes like the opening drive against Texas.

Bryce has his issues with accuracy but he is our offense and Milroe is way too reckless with the ball, especially forcing bad passes to be QB1 right now.

I mean we probably won't have to worry about Simpson vs Milroe right? What with Bryce coming back for his senior season because he's not a 1st round QB.

Simpson will beat Milroe for QB. Milroe isn't a QB.

I actually agree.

McClellan and Roydell can run between the tackles and Gibbs can too. But running the ball less than 20 times in a game between those 3 RBs tells me there's no commitment to the running game at this time.

If Bryce is a first rounder he'll be a bust.

I know that you’re trying to be a smarty pants, but I don’t believe Bryce has a first round arm. At least he doesn’t have a top 15 arm. Wait and see. One of the quickest releases I’ve ever seen though

The fact that folks sit here and talk to Shaft like he doesn’t know football just amazes me. The guy knows more than he even tells, and that goes for recruiting as well.

If you think Bryce is a first round QB go watch Penix at Washington or Van Dyke at Miami. Or, watch CJ Stroud. It's a difference between those guys and Bryce.

I genuinely don't understand what y'all are seeing. His main problem on the deep ball is he is overthrowing guys. That's more of a touch problem than an arm strength problem.

Seriously y'all Quinn Ewers showed he's in another class above Bryce. Bryce is a good college QB playing for the best program. But, the NFL is a different animal.

His release is elite. His pocket presence is ok. He has mobility, but he doesn’t really like to use it. He’s 5’11 at best, with limited arm strength.

I still believe he’s one of, if not the best college qbs out there, but that doesn’t translate to the NFL

Yes he is. He needs more carries.

Van Dyke at Miami.

You mean the guy who has thrown for 76 yards against the A&M team who just lost to App State?

He has to be earning some more with the way he plays in mop up.

RB coach needs to be sleeping on his couch teaching him how to pass block.

The guy won a Heisman, so I understand that I’m fighting against the odds here. I’m not saying he’s bad or anywhere near bad. I just believe that he’s limited. I believe when it’s all said and done, AJ will have a better NFL career that Bryce. Bryce is a great college QB

Stats don't tell everything. That's why we have so many people thinking Bryce is a stud. But, Bryce isn't even putting up gaudy stats these days.

Miller runs like Ingram. He might have more speed though. Just a very solid back.

We all have different opinions, and that’s fine, but don’t dismiss Shaft. The guy is plugged in and knows what he’s talking about. You don’t have to agree with what he says, but you better pay attention. He’s not one to just spout off. I respect his opinion
