I don't know if someone posted the link to this story about Alabama's health care services and the preparedness or lack.

It's pretty eye-opening.

'Absolute unknown territory': Alabama hospitals brace for coronavirus onslaught lacking resources

Does anyone know of a site where you can find out if the hospital close to you has the resources (ventilators) to treat the coronavirus?

And my family usually uses the Huntsville Hospital. I wonder if they will take us from out of county, if one of us becomes ill with the virus. How can we find out about things like this?

Thank you, all of you. It's pretty hard with this happening while all this is going on around you.

Prayers for you and all of your sister's loved ones. May God bless and comfort you all.

Check Huntsville Hospital's Web site or call them.

Huntsville Hospital is one of only three full level-one trauma centers in the state of Alabama (Children's in Birmingham is pediatric only). They have the tools.

Also, the county, city, state, or even country where you live has no bearing on if a hospital will treat you. EMTALA says they must provide treatment.

I know. All of my family have had surgeries at the Huntsville Hospital. Even though the Marshall Medical Centers are considered part of the Huntsville Hospital system, I would rather trust the health of my family to a larger hospital with over 900 beds instead of a small 99 bed hospital. They have more updated equipment and doctors too.

Take this with a grain of salt, I don't believe the numbers for China.

I think the last update last night had it at 440. So 84 since 10PM last night. 16% of our current total.

Our boy CommanderData is in the hospital with this shite. Saw it on the OT and thought I'd bring it here.
