I have no problems making the path to the playoffs easy as possible.

Nooo kidding. The big season opener is against Duke. fricking DUKE. Forgive me for not being very jazzed about that one.

I don't think anyone is excited about Duke.

Blame the ACC for that one. The Chik Fil A bowl reps couldn't find any of them that were willing to play us. We already had a contract with them to pay us a shitload of money and find a good opponent.

Do you have season tickets? I can tell you that as a person that travels from Virginia to Columbus for nearly every home game it’s a lot more fun to go see a game against Texas, USC, Miami, Virginia Tech or Oklahoma than it is for freaking UNLV or some FCS team. Even if it ends up as a loss I get a chance to see where the Buckeyes stack up against other P5 teams. Not at a neutral site but in a home and home series.

I did not know that. Thank you for the new knowledge there.

I love how these scheduling things have nothing to do with, yknow, football or ensuring that we see good football be played

I'll echo an earlier posters sentiments that locking in these scheduling deals so many years in advance is fricking dumb. Being locked in to play the ACC for years and years is some weaksauce, especially now since it apparently left us stuck opening the season against a frickin basketball school.
