Who do we have waiting in the wings? Which guys have gotten good reports out of spring and summer/fall camps? It doesnt look like we have a bunch of experience, so somebody needs to step up.

Formby obviously did something to impress during camp. So I will call him a wait and see prospect.

I had high hopes for Alinen and McVay. Both huge young guys, im just not sure where they are at in their development. McVay played in 4 games last year.

Roq Montgomery seems to be a guy people are high on. Seems to be a bit more of a stump. But he's got a motor. Are they grooming him at Center or Guard?

Those are the only dudes I have heard much about. We had Nyquil come over in the portal but i think he was originally a 3 star and i dont know how he got on our radar.

We are gonna need some more dudes sooner or later.

This time last year Jaeden Roberts was a virtually unknown backup.

I think our best 5 is as good as any, but until I see otherwise I expect both tackles to have issues with NFL caliber edge rushers. I think we’ve probably got better youngsters that are suited for interior OL. I really liked the film of the 3 star freshman, Sanders. I think his athletic profile fits what Deboer wants.

I would think / hope Poe will be in the mix if not this year then next year . Very highly rated but haven’t heard much on him. May have needed this first year in S&C IDK

Formby is a redshirt freshman with zero snaps prior to western Kentucky. OL is the most developmental position on the field. It’s one of the few positions where athleticism and strength don’t overcome all. Formby may be a great tackle next year and I hope he is not too defeated after last weeks performance.
