It didn't need it's own thread, and it should be fine here, but can you guys see AJ on Gruden's QB Camp?

He's gonna have a field day with Manziel.

Henry looked like he was the same height as Eddie George the other day.

yeah, he probably is. and brandon jacobs.

but, still. I want to see him in live action before deeming him the next great Alabama running back.

Speaking of Henry:

@AlexS_ESPN: While its unclear whether the change is permanent or not, Derrick Henry was wearing No. 21 jersey today instead of his usual No. 3. #FWIW

Back in the spring, I said that I could see him and Vinnie on KO team together which would be a problem if they're both #3

just expounding on your post
quote:

The team practiced in shells Wednesday afternoon as it continues its preparation for the season opener against Virginia Tech. Today's viewing period was especially limited but here's what I saw.

Derrick Henry was wearing No. 21. An Alabama official said there has not been a jersey number change and there is no Virginia Tech running back that wears No. 21. It's hard to believe that Henry would be running scout team, especially after Saban specifically said Henry is a back that could see a role in Saturday's game. It's an odd one for sure.

Tyren Jones wore No. 14 in scout team drills.

Dee Hart wore a sleeve on his left elbow and a brace on his right knee. Alvin Kamara also wore a brace on his knee as he continues to improve from a minor knee injury sustained earlier this fall.

During our limiited viewing period the quarterbacks worked exclusively on tight end out patterns.

Scouts for the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions spoke with UA strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran.

Saban: Derrick Henry now No. 21 because of special teams.

Saban on Kenyan Drake: "He can certainly contribute. I don't think that he will contribute a lot in this game."

It means that Henry is going to kill some poor return man this season. Literally murder him on the field. Full decapitation.

Marc Torrence ?@marctorrence 52s
Short Saban presser today. @CecilHurt quips that Saban was suspended for the other half.

Listening to the Saban press conference, he once against sorta stressed about the offense being more explosive and different this year. I'm really excited to see what we can do.

Hell yeah. Just change the title to "***Official Practice Thread***" and we can have two big threads on our board.

"Our pass rush has gotten a lot better," he said after Wednesday's practice. "We've got new additions, new guys in in different roles. I feel like we're going to be able to pass rush a lot more efficiently than we did in the past."

Among the new additions are redshirt freshman Dalvin Tomlinson and freshmen A'Shawn Robinson and Jonathan Allen. All three were listed on the Crimson Tide's first official depth chart for 2013.

"The freshmen are just really smart, they're all really smart," Pagan said. "They're fast, big and strong, they're smart. I have confidence in all of them.

This, excites me.

I'm sure we stay stout against the run, as long as we do that and these guys make QBs run for their lives, the future of Alabama defenses can only get better.
