How does the NCAA not know if Davis is eligible? He either has the grades and scores or he doesn't. This isn't rocket science, get the kid his eligibility status you dimwits!

this may have more to do with what is happening at other schools such as OM. Let's assume something inappropriate happened at another school in his crootin process. Alabama may have applied to the NCAA regarding his eligibility. U sit a kid until you get that waiver saying all is good. You can not risk in todays world of playing a kid and then having to vacate a win.

Good point. That said, with the season a week away you'd hope they'd go ahead and make a decision one way or the other. Hate for a kid who may have done nothing wrong to miss half of his first season or whatever for something another school did. I know Bo had a 4 game suspension last year for something OM supposedly did in his recruitment. That school just needs to get hammered, period. Their mess is affecting everyone.

This right here. People always want the new flavor of the month. If Bateman gets the nod every mistake will be criticized. If it is someone else and they make the same mistake growing pains and it will be alright.
Wait until Tua gets here. Same arguments will be made.

Update:
Top three qbs got reps with 1's over the last week. Being told hurts is starting to separate from CB . Both will still take snaps against USC. Barnett still having turnover issues. It's over as far as that's concerned two man show now.

I'm all for starting Bateman and Bringing Hurts in. Don't rush him but evaluate how he looks when he is in the game. Hopefully, the team will be his before the Ole Miss game.
