You don't know anything about the extent of their injuries.
I injured my left hip joint playing football in a HS game on a Friday night. It hurt like hell when it happened and was real sore Sat & Sun, but felt ok after a few days. I was practicing by Wed.
Never really bothered me until my late forties, when the cartilage had deteriorated to the point that I started having bone rubbing against bone. I had hip replacement surgery about 12 years later. Should've done it about 5 years sooner.
