I don’t like the if and what if or what could have been. What happened, happened. We for about the 6th straight game played undisciplined sloppy football. This is what this team is now. Two year of Deboer I haven’t seen a complete game against good competition. I’m not saying fire him, I’m saying he has to figure shite out, and quick.

Our first offensive play was a run up the gut for 5 yards. I posted we got a good push with the OL. Never would I have believed -3 yards rushing total for the game.

We had some early success but the passing game was off. Hit a few throws and the runs would continue.
Another important thing to remember, Bama, with Deboer, is a QB-centric offense. It can be unstopable but the weakness is that it requires good QB play. When it’s sidled with average to poor QB play, it doesn’t work. At all.

What’s frustrating the most to me personally. Kane has got this defense progressing weekly! That is with a defense that’s on the field for an entire game. It’s championship level defense. Deboer is supposed to be an offensive guru and he has two years in a row not done his job. If you didn’t do your job or I didn’t we would be let go of. He has to do better. Our defense is carrying this team and it’s frustrating to watch them lay it all out and win games and the offense just never shows up to help.

This is just my opinion and I agree with you. But if we know we can’t play winning football with the offensive pieces we have, why not change some things up? We have until the 19th or 20th to practice and get healthy.

If Deboer doesn’t make changes to the offensive and special teams staff this off-season such as a new O-line coach, OC, and special teams coordinator, we will find ourselves having these same conversations next year.

I’ve said that since USCe. Change out as many pieces as possible on offense. We need to be prepping for next year. This team isn’t winning it all. Let’s start now. Mack or Keelon. Change out pieces on OL. I want to see Jaden Roberts. It’s pissing me off he’s not getting looks. He’s a big mean arse grinding OL. I don’t understand Deboer at all.

Well practice seems to be where we incur the most injuries, so we may wind up with more injuries, rather than fewer, before our next game

This comment isn’t just about yesterday.
Lets all be real. Grubb is an awful play caller. Maybe he and deboer come up with outstanding play designs, but you cannot just randomly and/or stubbornly call certain plays the way we do all too often.
There are things you can do against anything defense throws at you. You make them adjust then you adjust. We just don’t.
If the braintrust is calling the right plays and ty is always checking out of them - YOU SIT HIM.
The staff dues not have an excuse here. And now im expanding this to the overall team and staff. Either they suck for their playcalling/preparation/coaching abilities or they suck for not addressing the flaws adequately with the players. Or if you want to go the “cant coach em bc they’ll run away route”, they suck in evaluation.

There were several instances where we got ourselves in 3rd and 4 or less and I think we threw the ball every time. Every time. If you run it on 3rd and 3 and get 2 yards, it’s better than a sack or an incomplete pass and you are closer for a 4th down try. Hill and Dear averaged 2.8 and 3.3 ypc respectively even in our lousy running game. Teams are sitting on the pass even in those 3rd and short scenarios. We should be able to have the advantage of surprise if nothing else.
I don’t want to hear that crap of “we don’t have a good RB.” We have a RB room full of 4 and 5 star kids. They can’t all be busts. Justice Haynes was one of those “busts” and all he did was transfer to Michigan and tear it up before he got injured. He had 857 yards and a 7.1 ypc average before he got injured. He really sucks doesn’t he? Maybe it’s not all on the RB’s.

Star ratings are meaningless. They’re subjective and designed to make money off fans.

Boz, would you have changed quarterbacks at some point during the game, like Saban did? Why or why not?

We're in this chicken/egg situation:

Are we not running the ball bc we're not good at it or are we not good at it bc we don't ever do it?

Yes, they are all bust. The only reason Jam is the starter is because those so-called stars are awful.

Watch #3 for UGA take the handoff and hit the hole at a speed our players can never reach. Forget how many yards they gain. Just look at the acceleration of the UGA backs. Our guys are plodders at best.

We don’t have a RB on the roster who would be second string for Georgia, maybe a healthy Jam.

Georgia dated us to run and we still couldn’t.
It was a page straight out of Sabans book.

That’s 9 rushes with UGA in two deep safeties look. No one respects our running game. I want to blame Grubb, but at the same time, running is fruitless. The blame belongs on DeBoer. Everyone knew our deficiencies at rb last year and NOTHING was done in the portal or recruiting to address it.

That is the total number of runs attempted last night by our genius OC when Ty’s sack numbers are removed.

Not all of Simpson's carries were sacks. His first attempt was a designed run.

We ran plenty when the game was still a game. First series: three runs, 7 yards. Second series: two runs for one yard, a pass completion and an incompletion.

That's 5 runs out of 7 plays...5 carries for 8 yards.

It's bigger than that.

We are deficient at RB and OL. Our OL can't impose their will on anyone. The OL and RB coaches are clearly incompetent when it comes to coaching the running game. And Grubb leads the offense, so it's all on him also.

OL, RB, OC, and S&C all should be fired. You don't get to have the worst running game in over 100 years of Alabama football and get to keep your job.

Got to start questioning things when two seasons in a row QB play craters around two months into the season. More going on here than individual performance. Not just player, not just the coaching.
