My Take: Being Real

Offensively:
FIRST HALF, I thought we had a tremendous game plan. Flawless first half...We played to Milroe's strengths which are running and down field passing. We had people running wide open. The play designs/schemes gave Kirby Smart/Glenn Schumann defense fits because of all the pre snap movement. The offensive line blocked extremely well and the receivers/tight ends made plays throughout the first half.
SECOND HALF, Kirby and company adjusted well. They took away Jalen Milroe's legs and forced him to pass and he was inaccurate on a couple of throws. He missed a few reads here and there also. Our running backs didn't get enough touches. The line blocked pretty good and the receivers/tight ends made plays when given the opportunity.
Ryan Hollywood Williams, Germie Bernard, Kobe Prentice, Emmanuel Henderson, Cole Adams, Josh Cuevas, and CJ Dippre came up big throughout the game.
Hollywood Williams saved us!!
Defensively:
Kane Wommack had an exceptional game plan and it worked to perfection until the offense started sputtering (in the second half), dropped INTs, penalties, and a couple of injuries (#15, Justin Jefferson & #96 Tim Keenan)!
Special Teams:
For the most part we looked good. We had one mishap (between Hollywood & Adams) but personally I think if Cole Adams has an opportunity to return a kick or punt...HE SHOULD. I don't care who's back there with him. The guy just sees the field better than all the returners we have. I know Hollywood has electric stuff but Cole Adams does to when it comes to kicks and punts. Thank God we have this situation.
I still got my eyes on the field goal kicker because he hasn't had to do anything just yet.
Overall: The guys did good. Work out a few kinks. Get some guys back healthy and keep stacking days.
In other news, sports analyst will brag about Carsen Beck but Lord knows he should've threw about 5 interceptions last night.
There's a gap between Bama and Georgia!
One more thing, Georgia receivers pushed off on every big play they had. Did anybody else notice that?

Good assessment.
Yes... I did.
Georgia also seemed to be running with 4 downs in the second half. I heard Kirby say at the beginning of the 4th qtr their offense was gassed. I thought about our defense, knowing the toll it takes on them.
Our offense MUST be able to react to adjustments better... there is too much talent on the sidelines to go 3 and out for most of the half.
Also, the way Bama won in the end, took much of the sting out of Dawgs fight. The Williams TD, which is being showing on highlight reels this weekend and the athletic interception saving the game at the end reminded me of 2nd and 26. Most of the Dawg fans were caught off guiard... as the game was over.

They also kept doing the shite where they were getting called for OPI. They like to run straight into the defender to make it look like DPI and create a pick. On that DPI late in the game they got away with that.
Kirby pulled out all the stops. He was a madman on the sidelines the whole 2nd half.

In the end we won. UGA was ranked higher, and we were the underdog. They are one of the best teams in the nation. Fourth game into the season with a new staff we are now 4-0. Just need to continue to build on what we saw this team is capable of.

Make no mistake, UGA has a really good team and coaching staff but I felt like in the second half, Bama got more conservative and was playing not to lose. I may be wrong but that's the sense I got.
The first half was one of the greatest halfs I've ever seen Bama play. I would like to have seen the offense bleed more time off the clock in the second half.
The defense seemed to be gassed a bit late in the game. Seemed like they spent a lot of time on the field in the second half. The pass rush was very vanilla in the second half and the blitzes were poorly designed.
Have to give UGA props for coming back and making adjustments. Beck is a good QB but Bama made him look very mortal.
Loved the way we're playing a lot of guys in the secondary. They're getting invaluable experience.and will really pay dividends down the road.
