Hilarious that people are trying to paint this as Saban being some kind of hypocrite based on the premise he’s
A. Complaining about players getting paid
B. The only violator of paying players prior to NIL
Saban has verbalized he’s for players getting monetarily compensated in some way, just a better way that the current system. Hard not to agree with that sentiment
Besides that, the notion that Saban was somehow the only person paying players while “everyone is doing it” was the mantra anytime it was brought up is absurd
The only violating he did was to their psyches each time Bama crushed their team. It’s all just trauma-induced lip service
