Grew up in Katy, TX. He was asked by a reporter what he’ll be thinking going against the Longhorns, who he flipped from to come to Bama.

“Our success on that day is gonna come from our preparation throughout the week.”

That’s the most I’ve heard him speak. Dude seems dialed in and focused on process over outcome. Sounds like he’s got his head on straight. I’m impressed with the kid so far.

I am as well. Anyone who thinks he hasn’t made huge strides had their mind made up before he started. If he starts to struggle Saban will make a change.

Sounds a lot like another Jalen to me!

I knew something was good about the kid when I saw him come to the sideline and put his arm around coach as he was talking to him.

Reminded me a ton of Jalen and Tua.

Great interview by him.

I'll admit I am a Simspon fan but after Saturday's game and Milroe's interview, I can see this kid is focused in the right direction. He played really well and I know it was only Middle Tennessee, but I can definitely see a better outlook for the team now than before.

Milroe is an awesome guy. You can see him saying, “Yes sir” by reading his lips while talking to coaches on the sideline. Saban is really going to be missed when he’s gone.

Just look at the great guys he’s put in the pros at QB. Jalen Hurts, Tua, Mac, and Bryce are exemplary role models.

The interview sold me on Milroe. I’m pulling for him hard. He’s a great kid, a good leader, and hopefully he can continue to get better week by week. I’m in his corner.

So it took a "interview" for y'all to be sold on milroe?

That’s not all that did it for me, but I had never heard the kid speak - or play -much. He had started one game in his career and we almost lost it at home. I think many of us had doubts that he could handle the big stage. He’s obviously physically talented. This interview just helped solidify for me that he’s got it upstairs and has bought in to the Saban Way. He still has a lot to prove against higher quality competition, but I have a lot more confidence in him than I did.

Yes, no one can really get behind a qb until they have heard him speak.

You are right about Jalen. I listened to any interviews I could find with him after the Ark game last year and it was obvious that he was a great kid. He and Blake Sims are two of the few public people who can say almost exactly what's on their mind without getting in trouble because their hearts are relatively "pure".

Yes, JH, Tua, Mac and Bryce are unique personalities and special people in very different ways.
