A well-placed source told Paul Lukas, who writes Uni Watch for ESPN.com, that Revis paid safety Mark Barron $50,000 to get the No. 24 from the second-year safety. Barron now wears No. 23.

Good for Mark! His Mother didn't raise a fool.

But, I don't like that Revis can deduct it as an expense on his tax return.

Agreed... shouldnt stuff like that be under the table? I mean if Revis is getting a deduction, then Barron has to claim it as income, right?

None of it is guaranteed.

But yeah, $50k is pocket change to Revis.

Mark Barron is one of the best tacklers I have ever seen. The guy sizes up his target, squares up, and lays the wood. Perfect form. He will never get penalized/fined for illegal hits.

I love seeing Steve Smith get lit up. He's good but he deserves to plowed for his antics.

I was at that game (opening game and Ronde Barbers last season SO glad I went) opening weekend last yr when they played Carolina

Smith was yappin and came up and pushed Barron after 1 whistle so the next series Smith caught the pass got past Ronde down the sideline and Barron just leveled him

It was great to see that was his 1st pro game too
