How did Freeman's team respond to a bad loss,

Against a murderous schedule, LOL.
After their loss to NIU, Notre Dame played
Perdue
Miami (OH)
Louisville
Stanford
GaTech
Navy
FLSt
Virginia
Army
USC

BAMA went 2-1 vs 3 straight Top 25 teams directly after the Vandy loss. And the loss the refs called 15 TOTALLY LEGIT penalties against BAMA.
ND played their first Top 25 team in November- Army.

Freeman started his coaching career 0-3. I don't remeber anyone talking about how well prepared the Irish were in those games. In fact, he took alot of the same criticism that Deboer is taking i.e. he's in over his head.

It's easy to say teams "aren't prepared" when things aren't going well. Apparently, the quality of coaching is always equal to how the team is doing at the current moment.

Were you saying the same thing when Freeman was “ out coached “ by the NIU coach ?

You didn't even read my fricking post. What the frick did I say about how each team responded after that loss?

Look kid, I've hated Notre Dame longer than you've been alive. But to suggest DeBoer did a better coaching job this year shows a football IQ of zero.

Not a kid . Prolly as old as you . Relax man , you don’t have to be a condescending prick in EVERY post on this board . Nobody said anything about THIS year. You said Freeman would coach circles around DeBoer … nothing about this year specifically . It’s obvious to everyone ND has a better team this year and that is due to a combination of factors . I may have forgotten more football than you know

Let's be honest... we have a better roster and more talent than Notre Dame.

Even our well disliked Milroe would start over Fairhope's great Hope Leonard lol.

Freeman just knows the pulse of his team. He has them coached up and he pays attention to the details. Seriously look at his STs play which helped him beat Georgia. Then look how our STs play had us lose to Vandy.

They have lost OL yet still find a way to give their QB time to throw and they move the line of scrimmage for their RBs.

I will say they have better RBs than we do.

ND quarterback is not sub par. We would be in the playoff if we had that QB. I would take him any day.

And he’s from Fairhope, so yeah…

How do you think ND would have done in the SEC? You think they would be 14-1 throwing for 80 yds a game? I don’t . You guys are missing my point . The OP said Freeman would coach circles around KDB. Has nothing to do with the team overall . Was this your feeling last year when UW was 14-1? Maybe the year before when they were 11-2 and ND was 9-4 and 10-3. Did Freeman do a better job this year ? Sure he did. Doesn’t mean he is objectively a better coach overall

ND has a top 10 TD recruiting class nearly every year and probably with less turnover than we have had so not sure we have head and shoulders more talent than they have . We want to think Bama guys are better and have been for the last several years but as I said when the season started , we were not as talented as people on here thought . Besides RW and Booker , and the center , not many players would be offensive starters on the other top teams in our conference . Milroe could start for many but he is way too inconsistent . Our OL, WR,RB , DL rooms were average and a young secondary

Before these playoffs I thought they would be 6 or 7 win team because I didn't believe they could play back to back tough games.

After watching the SEC look horrible, I don't even know if we're a gauntlet like we think we are.

I think the horrible officiating makes things far more difficult and complex due to away games and feeds this mystique.

I never said Freeman was a better coach. I just spoke of how both coaches managed this season.

Freeman was better this year and precisely because he seems to focus on the details while we don't.

His coordinators can also make adjustments and gameplan very well.

And I have said I agree with you . I think Freeman is a great young coach . So glad he is doing well to stick it to LSU fans . I hope ND wins the NC . I just don’t think you can take one year and say he would “coach circles “ around KDB( not you ). As a whole , yes ND has a better staff than we do. Wommack got better as the year went on and the secondary continued to grow so giving him the benefit of the doubt , but the offensive side needs work. ND has experience on both sides of the ball

I guess you could say Penn St.( no offense) and Georgia ( QB out) possibly but they haven’t really played back to back tough games in my opinion
