All college stadiums are probably gonna be renamed by corporate sponsorships in the next decade so it's probably pointless to rename the stadium anyway. With schools desperately trying to come up with money to pay players it's almost certainly going to happen. Look at Pitbull and FIU.

True. Kentucky already did it.

They need to take Denny's name off and rename it Bryant-Saban

The stadium quite literally wouldn't exist without George Denny. For that matter the football program as we've known it throughout the years wouldn't exist with him. 90 years ago or not, he's the patron saint of the program and nobody means more to the program than George Denny. The program as it exists and what it means today was because of his vision for it.

"In the 1920s, University of Alabama President George Denny felt strongly that a nationally recognized football program would pay immeasurable dividends in elevating the image and prestige of the University of Alabama. Rose Bowl trips after the 1925 and 1926 seasons generated the type of response Denny yearned for; and it added money to the Athletics Department coffers as well. With payoffs from the bowls, plans were made to build an on-campus stadium. In 1929, Denny Stadium, a state-of-the-art facility with 12,000 seats, opened on the Tuscaloosa campus."

All that said, field names are seem strange, I'd prefer they just add Saban's name to the stadium. Why not just have three names there? It can still be BDS.

The original stadium built in the 20s might not have existed without Denny, but the stadium in existence today would not be what it is without Saban. Bear Bryant probably had less to do with the stadium as it is today than Saban did.

I’m not for removing Denny from the Stadium. I don’t like the Bryant Saban only name. We don’t need BS being the initials. It needs to be Saban-Bryant-Denny, add Saban to the front, just like they added Bryant to the front. This field naming shite is for teams like Auburn and Florida. Its such a freaking insult.

Lot of good ideas here. My only thoughts though, WHAT if KD sticks
and wins 6 or more titles? You can say that'll never happen but I doubt
Anyone here or anywhere else would have imagined Nick doing that
either. It's possible. So if he did that and mirrored Nick or better, Then
what would you do lol? Would you Then rename the Stadium again?
If so, What? Maybe they're just trying to leave some wiggle room. Who
knows. At any rate, I'm happy to see Nicks name on at least the field.
It is what it is. RMFT

Good grief. You people cant help yourselves.

Yeah, I can't help feeling no love for the Southern planter aristocracy. Their cause was a sham to allow for them to be leisurely fancy lads while others toiled in slavery to create the means for their leisure. The only real Lost Cause was duping Southerners into fighting with those lazy, weak-minded dipshits at the helm.
