And our 2 worst position coaches are our online and dline coaches, and we have recruited terribly on both lines since before Saban left. It's not surprising we are soft.

This is a dead horse topic, but we really haven't recruited poorly if you go off recruiting rankings. We've brought in highly rated kids that all the other big schools wanted along both lines. Proctor, Lloyd, Carroll, Smith, Keeley were all 5 stars by one service or another

I do agree that the coaching has been very subpar. Somewhere along the way it's become acceptable to go through the motions. I think we've got an effort and toughness issue more than a skillset and technique issue.

James Brockermeyer is starting at center on the best line in the country. People thought he was a tagalong signing here

James Brockermeyer was going to be our future Center under Saban. Saban left and Deboer brought his own Center with him so JB left.
