I don’t know how effective it will be

Its effectiveness will be 80% determined by the offensive line.

Robinson and Sanders need to show what they can do with carries.

See above.

Najee seems very streaky and Robinson and Sanders need to show what they can do with carries.

Honestly, the factor that will determine who gets carries will pass blocking/blitz pick-up. He who blocks will tote the rock.

Almost all of Robinson's carries came after the game was won, and we had the 2nd string OL in the game, and we call the same running play every down. Right between and center and the guard, and everyone on the other team knew it was coming. All of us knew it, anyway. He never had a chance, but at least he never fumbled.

Ok. Our running game's success depends almost completely on our Oline's ability to create space

I think we are at a crossroad o-line wise with the whole process vs better talented kid.
Saban might have to trust the young talent earlier and hurt a couple of upper class-men feelings.
when it comes to the best 5 on the o-line.
I will say 73 at Left or right guard could be a better choice right now.
As I wont say Womack cant/wont play well there.
If your comparing it to his tackle play. That's easy because he not able or should not ever play tackle.
I did not understand even in the A day game why we were forcing Womack to play tackle with Jennings just man handling him.
Rather than allowing somebody else to play there or shift Leatherwood there in Willis absence.
That tells me a lot of what Ive been noticing about our o-line selection on playing time over the past 3-4 years.
Right now I think our best 5 are 70,73,79 (55/77),74. .
If Evan Neal comes out of the fall camp like another Cam Robinson freshmen year ready to play.
Then this would allow leatherwood to go to RT and willis slide inside to guard.
Or we simply plug 73 in at LG with 55 moving to RG.
I would like to see if willis has improved even-more at RT first before saying he or leatherwood should play the RG/RT positions.
But Evan is gonna make saban make a tough choice on the o-line.
I think RB we are talented enough as long as ford and one of the freshmen or #12 plays good enough for depth.
