Just a question here guys. Because of the injuries we have sustained over the years do you guys think there will be a little bit of a philosophy change in trying to get more younger guys meaningful playing time? I don't mean the guys who are not doing what they are supposed to be doing in practice and off the field but just trying to have more guys get time even in competitive games.

When the games are close every week you don't have a chance. Got to win the game first

Saban has such an NFL mindset in so many areas and I think this is one of those times it shines through.
Over the years there have been many games that were well in hand and I feel like he should pull starters and let the 2's get meaningful snaps where they can actually run the O/D at full throttle.
In the Miami game, we had the game well in hand and I felt as though Bryce and several others should have been pulled at least a series sooner so that the back-ups could play.
Injuries happen and are part of the game, but I'm pretty sure none of our injuries this year happened during "garbage" time. (ie Tua in 2019) I understand Tua was in coaches ear begging for one more series, but he has and would continue to get all the meaningful snaps in the game. Sit your arse down and drink some Gatorade.
Over Saban's tenure I have always felt this is one of those things he does that I wish he would change on.
It's a lot like how he works the kickers separately as they practice, but he has typically had a back up QB as the holder for the PK. The kicker spends 99% of his time practicing with some other kicker/punter during practice all week while you have the back up QB taking snaps and working with the offense. Then come game time you move the QB over to special teams. Timing/flow is key here and repetition is vital. Notice after Tyson bobbled the kick in the Barn game that he changed to Burnip (punter)the rest of the game and he has been the holder since?
Let me say. I don't make 10 million dollars a year like CNS and he knows a hell of a lot more than I do.
It was said that the WR core this year was not as focused and intent on preparation until Metchie went down. Now I know this year we didn't have a ton of blowouts to work them, but over Saban's tenure there has been. I know it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but I keep hoping Saban will opt for more PT for the 2's
