I think it's incredible Buchner can be that bad.. I mean his throws were easy yet terrible.. he had mainly quick passes so he wasn't even bothered by USF rush. Yet people will come here and make excuses for him. When we don't make excuses for Milroe and say "this guy is limited but at the moment he is the best we have" that is unacceptable and delusional. I mean damn take away the players names and just look at their stats. How can anyone defend Buchner??

I get it that you’re rocking with Milroe now, but you can’t act like he hasn’t been given the benefit of the doubt man. The guy has played more football than the other QBs on the roster and has the largest sample size. He pretty much is what he is; and he is the best that we have. That’s not making excuses for anyone. Buchner should have never put on that crimson helmet. He is probably a nice kid, but he is absolute butt at football. That doesn’t make Milroe better than he is or worse. He is the best we got right now and we are rolling with him. It isn’t a personal attack on JM4 though.

I’m sure Milroe will beat Pete Golding and win the next game or 2. Everyone will feel good again until we play a competent defense…and then the passes to the other team or 8 man fronts will rear their head. Just wish we were investing in a guy who gave us a chance…even if that chance is next year.

Neither TS nor TB could beat OM, so that's quite an admission on your part that JM has a chance to beat them.

Buchner maybe not, certainly not passing to Burton or with the OL play from last week, but I think Simpson and Lonegran would have only a modestly lower probability to win the game today with a much higher upside at the end of the season. Just my opinion, but the team wants Milroe and Saban gave it to them to keep a mutiny from happening, apparently. I just don’t think it’s the best decision long term, but we’ll see.

Buchner maybe not,

He made USF's terrible pass defense look like they were shutdown first rounders.

Most of his throws were quicks and short and he still had problems with accuracy.

Yet only "maybe not"

Inaccurate throws don’t make defenders look like shutdown first rounders. Did you even watch the game? There was only 1 throw that hit a defender and it was due to the defender diving at a ball that was a correct read, accurate throw, but WAY TOO SLOW of a pass that the defender was able to deflect. That’s a lack of arm strength, and still doesn’t make the defense look like shutdown defenders.

At least make reasonable arguments if you are going to disagree.
