I still think he was the best LB of the Saban era.
Me too. And to be honest, I don't think it's all that close. Not to diss the other guys, because we have produced monsters at that position, but he was in absolute command of that defense.

and most likely on the entire team.
No, not really. Defense came to his defense when Ridley showed his arse. If anything they said suck it up.

Seeing McClain and Hightower on the field at the same time was a thing of beauty.
Had Hightower not gotten hurt in 2009 he probably would have went pro after the 2010 season. Barron got hurt late in 2010 and needed surgery or he probably goes pro too. Both of those guys were big in 2011.

While he certainly isn't perfect, I think he handled the qb situation about 90% correct, with the 10% really being a toss-up because who knows how November Tua at Auburn would have performed.
Thus, I think is more reasonable to say that Saban's guidance won us a national championship this season.

Didn't see that myself.

Well I know it happened. I didn't hear any bitching when I called the return of miller and lewis, M brown leaving, freeze on campus, and tua being prepped for play. But this seems to be not true for some reason.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you supposed to be some big insider or something? Most of what you just typed was on plenty of websites and even in other sources.
The entire team responded noticeably when Tua came in.

Lol nevermind. I'm sure it was on websites, long after I posted it. Doesn't matter. I was referring to a verbal altercation between Jalen and Ridley after the IB.

QB's job is to get the ball to the receivers where they can catch it in stride
No, it's not.

So you're a big time insider, huh?

Get it to them where they can at least catch it?

That's closer, and the correct answer is more complex.

No, it's not.
True. Sometimes, hitting them in stride will get them killed. Sometimes receivers need to sit down in an open area against a zone coverage. Sometimes QBs throw a back-shoulder fade to a receiver.

Well that was a freaking generalization, i.e., don't throw it in the freaking dirt or behind them so much.
You are getting into this discussion thing now.

Are you releasing sensitive inside info pal?
How would the coaches feel about this or do they want you to release it?
Or are you just pretending to know an insider?

I don't mind discussions.
