There were people on here and twitter huffing copium about diamond in the rough based recruiting with the GM’s eval mastery this past week. I think some people who follow bama we’re really sunshine pumping hard until the inevitable post-camp season dam broke.

I’ll take the sunshine pumpers all day over the doom and gloomer chicken little vaginas on here.
Edit: this wasn’t meant to be an attack on you Diego. I know your opinion on the recruiting subject and I don’t necessarily disagree and I respect it. 5 star players are good to have on a roster. The coaches obviously agree. Just like my opinion on the 3 stars. Nothing wrong if you get the right 3 stars. Same with the 5 stars. We’ve just had a lot of 5 star talent come through here lately with zero star attitudes

Seriously ? I’ll trust the evaluation of our proven talent evaluator who played a role in building the 2023 Michigan team over some random rival fan who trolls an obscure internet message board.

One of my earliest memories is watching bama football on my grandpa’s lap and I graduated from UA. I’m not sure who you are talking about?

I love good talent on my school’s team. If you’re playing the law of averages, you want the 4 and 5 stars. However we’ve all seen 3 and lower stars who have ended up being critical players for us. Hell, Saban had a few walk ons contribute or even start.

Some people are Star gazers. That is all they concentrate on. The rating system is one tool. It is not end all and be all of evalations. Years ago when So. Miss had some very good teams I wonderd why Bama didn't try and recruit some of their best players. The answer was that many were not highly ranked. The coaches at So. Miss were very good at evaluating talent. They would get those 2- 3 star guys and develop them.
