Greg McElroy didn't look like he knew what to do during the segment.

He does a good job announcing games.

It honestly looked a bit staged, as if they wanted someone to be indignant to avoid all perception of ESPN - SEC bias.

The two Bama guys weren't going to do it, and Joey would have looked like B1G sour grapes. Have the LSU guy show a little outrage.

It wasn't like Herbie walking away from the table a few years ago, that was genuine fandom coming out.

I bet none of the LSU fans in 2007 were crying foul when they jumped from 7 to 2 in final poll over a 1 loss team that had a single position loss on the season vs the BCS penultimate #1.

I am surprised no one has made the argument for FSU over Texas.

In the end the committee backed themselves up in the corner with this.

Oregon should have never been ranked as high as they were.

OSU should have dropped down behind everyone playing in a CCG this past weekend.

The committee justified Alabama's low ranking by keeping Oregon up as high as they did as a buffer in front of Texas.

When it was all over though the committee had made it clear for a month the best team in their mind was UGA and when we beat them that put us in. To be honest in the final poll we should have jumped to 3 and Texas and FSU should have battled it out for the last spot.

As the committee stated it is the best 4 teams currently that get selected. So dropping a game to Texas in week 2 should not have been a factor.

The criteria is to inconsistent. How they apply it to one team is not the way they apply it to another. That is the issue many are upset about.

It looks like the committee assumed Bama would lose to UGA and Washington would lose to Oregon, so they voted accordingly.

On the McAfee show, Greeny finally clarifies that Alabama shouldn’t have been left out…but Texas, lol.
I bet the conversation dies down now.
About 4:20 into the video.
