Would have had to have drug his foot for dang near 5 yards. This is how bad SEC officiating was... and still is.
While I don’t disagree with you, it’s easier to see in a photo than real time. I was watching that game on TV and, to be honest, I thought he might’ve been out till I saw the replay; in real time, I thought his left foot was the first to land after the catch and it was out of bounds. Hence, if he could’ve drug his left foot, or shortened his stride, wouldn’t have been any doubt...but that might’ve been easier said than done. Regardless though, it would’ve been ruled a catch with today’s replay.

Bounced pass versus Arkansas in 1990-something.
That one is still unbelievable, to me.
Not only that, they had 12 players on the field on back-to-back plays the second one was when they scored on the one-hop.
That 1995 game was a real gem by the officials. I was in the stadium, we were going ballistic about how many players were on the field.

The bullshite no call in the end zone when the LSU DB knocked the Bama receiver down and no flag was thrown for interference. I believe Shula was the coach.
May have been a shitty no call, but how would that have been reviewable?

Sugar Bowl against Miami after 89 season. Miami had multiple fumbles that were ruled down, but weren’t when watched on replay. They scored several times when they shouldn’t have had the ball.
