If Alabama wins tonight...

It'll probably be my favorite out of all the 4 national championships that Saban has coached. (2nd favorite would be the 2011 one.) Because, something about this season has been just so special. The story. After we lost to Ohio State in the playoffs last year, it was so demoralizing, and then after the Ole Miss loss earlier this season, I really didn't think we'd even make it to the SEC championship game, and I CERTAINLY didn't anticipate Derrick Henry winning the Heisman. LSU was supposed to win out, Fournette was the sure winner of the Heisman. I don't know, it's just been so special to witness this team grow, strengthen and not give up. I really hope we win tonight.

I always think of 4/27 when I think of the 2011 title, I wasn't sure the joy of that title could be beaten. Though I'm starting to think that may change tonight...

Yeah, me too, I can't not think of 4/27, and how honestly, my family and I took a lot of comfort in bonding over football that season, after all of the destruction. So, that one will always be really special and hold a lot of meaning of getting through that storm.

No title under Saban will ever mean more to me than 2009.

I know what you mean. We got hammered in our bowl game going into this year's off season.. it was clear again we were going to have serious QB woes. We were never really picked to win it all. This team has shown a lot of grit. It will rival my excitement with the LSU nc game. I can't truly pick a favorite, and if I had to it would be Texas because it had been so freaking long.
Man, I need to get off work. I'm freaky nervous/excited.

It'll be special to me because the entire world wrote this team off after the Ole Miss loss.
What I like even better is that it's the team itself that circled the wagons and held each other accountable.

It definitely has been a great year for the Tide.. Every championship we have won under Saban has a special meaning to me. This is the first NCG of those that I haven't attended (work ).
In 2009, witnessing Alabama win it all as a senior in high school after all the down years we'd had. I was set to go to Alabama in the fall and I thought I'd witnessed something I'd never witness again. In the Rose Bowl against Texas. Doesn't get much better than that.
In 2011, after living on 15th Street and going through hell on 4/27 at the end of my freshman year and witnessing the strength of Tuscaloosa coming together (including Saban and the players) to help rebuild this city. I wore the Ttown Never Down shirt as an undershirt to this game and it was proven to be true, once again, that night.
In 2012, probably the least meaningful to me, though it would be my last NC as a student, watching Alabama beat Notre Dame, who had been a thorn in our side throughout our history, and watching Mike Golic the next day was pretty special.
This year has been a great year, and it is great to see that our program has been able to withstand some setbacks over the past few years (Kick 6, Oklahoma Sugar Bowl, Ohio State last year) and sustain success when nobody thought we could. I think the players want this one as bad as any. This will also complete the quadfecta (is that a word?) with us winning a national championship in the Rose, Orange, Fiesta, and Sugar Bowl.
This would be my first NC since I've really started paying attention on TD.. First started hanging around here in 2010 ATPB (not sorry) but really started posting the last couple years. Can't wait to see this site melt tonight.

All of our championships are special! Sometimes I think the ones where the team had a loss are even better because that means at some point during the season the team had to reach down and pull itself back up.
Every season as soon as we lose a game we are written off by the media, written off by the anti fans, told that the dynasty is over blah blah blah. This team is a MACHINE and we have the best engineer of all time running it. Good coaches evolve....GREAT coaches reinvent! That is exactly what Saban has done with the off and def. How many coaches do you know that have been as good as him and decided to change the offensive scheme and retool the defense? Only one name comes to mind....Bryant! I am lucky enough to remember the 70's and to watch what is happening today.

Well if we win tonight, I think I'd call this Nick's best coaching job.
This team has come together, I'm looking forward to them playing with one heart tonight.
