Their team is made up of basically 3 stars, with very few 4 stars and no 5 stars that I know of. These kids are hungry and have to prove their worth to earn some playing time, scholarship and cash!
Bama is made up of 4 and 5 stars that are entitled! Hell, most of them get paid just to sign their name on the scholarship alone, even before taking a snap. What do they have to prove, Where’s their hunger? If things don’t work out, they hit the portal and guess what? Get paid all over again!
I may be totally wrong but I think there’s something to this.

Their roster is super seniors. It doesn’t matter what star recruit you were if you’re a fifth year senior with 26 games of starting snaps and a career of the weight room
Their center, who was MVP, was Notre Dame’s starting center for years

They have a veteran older team. You guys obsession with star ratings is smh.
Portal players are developed and proven talent and that is the new way of this new college football world.
We need to get some DL, OL and LBs in the portal. Seasoned veterans and older guys.

Yes, it does. There have been successful teams through experience, but no team has won a national title game with less than 50% blue chips (4 or 5 star). Indiana has a pretty good chance to do it with less than 10% blue chips.
What Cignetti has done with this group is unprecedented.

Maybe we should increase our ratio to 50/50

If Indiana ends up facing Georgia for the NC I would take UGA based on pure skill set. But Indiana is the real deal and could easily win it all.
