Damn HT special team are awful

Hewitt has a good offense, but they are weak on defense and horrible on special teams. I'm not impressed

I also hate the offense that Hewitt runs, but it seems to work. I just don't like it

It’s the lane train bubble screens

Exactly, I hate playing sideways
I know it's effective, but I just can't stand it

Oh well. Tyson actually did his part - threw a TD pass late in the 4th that the receiver dropped. It happens. His game reminds me alot of Nix's game earlier - you can see some potential but they have alot to work on in college.
As for Quick, I was more impressed with 52 for Cedar Grove - Cheney. That kid was abusing the HT offensive line. I'm glad he's going to Bama.

playing calling for HT in the last minute was horrible.

Some on this board want the kid to not be a part of this class.
It’s weird.

I have no idea why.
He controlled the line against Quick and made a ton of plays. He is already strong but wait until he hits the weight room with Bama's trainers - kid has the potential to be special.

Welcome to "week 1"

We have plenty of rivalry games tonight, including Decatur-Austin; Spanish Fort-Daphne; McGill-Toolen-Murphy; and Auburn-Opelika.
We also have a few more games involving out-of-state teams, including Hoover at home vs. St. John's (Washington, D.C.) in a game involving two ranked nationally in the top 15.

McGill-Toolen blasted Murphy 30-3

Next up McGill-Toolen travels to Shreveport to play West Monroe. Just hoping for a good game. WMs defense is loaded. Offense is reloading. Won 44-20 tonight. Weird game as a lot of points set up by special teams. Pulled off early in the 3rd. Last TD for Ehret was a 90 yard fumble return against the 3rd string.

Been waiting to see you around to ask about West Monroe, I know always good, just didn't know how good this year. McGill played without their starting QB, who is committed to Memphis tonight, definitely will need him.
Defense is anchored by a 6-4 305 DT who is currently committed to Tennessee, but expect to end at AU. LB's and pretty good athleticism in defensive backfield are also a strength.
McGill has played in 3 straight 7A state championships, winning one. Been looking forward to playing a team like West Monroe with a national reputation. Hope we keep it competitive.

WM has a stout D, but return only 2 starters on offense. Lost Slade obviously, but his replacement is 6’4” 210 and had 3 rushing TDs tonight. I’m excited for this one. I’m glad we’re playing a very good team that could beat us. It makes us better than beating up on teams we know we will beat.
