How does Saban preach that it's a QB competition and proceed to not give other QB's a chance? Are the other QB's that bad in practice that a performance like tonight doesn't warrant them even having an opportunity? Saban should have either nutted up and thrown full support behind Milroe or done his fricking job in a QB battle and let the QB's battle it out. Stop the hand holding and do your fricking job. Half arse performance on both sides and all he can muster is a frown with his arms crossed. Do! Your! fricking! Job!

It's clear that there's no competition and likely never was. The way Milroe played, most coaches would have considered benching him even if he had a full season of starts under his belt.

Saban has always had blind deference to tenure vs. talent or potential when it comes to QBs.

Why get Buchner if you aren't going to play him?
