I do want to just insert - Kentucky is looking pretty good AND South Carolina handled a hot Florida team that has defeated TX and Ole Miss. These aren't victories to sneeze at
Is this a troll? I legit can't tell. So Alabama's been reduced to transitive football now. This is what it comes to?
And as far as Kentucky is concerned. Tap me on the shoulder when they start playing defense with the likes of Tennessee, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU and Texas. Because that's Alabama's weight class this season. Not Kentucky and South Carolina.
In light of what we've lost. Yes, we can sneeze at those wins.

Put up 100 more yards on UGA than what they average giving up and left more on the field.
Well then let us all slow clap for the elite offense that could only muster 346 yards, and 20 points, at home.

but I think we make it easier for a team that is well coached to feature their best players because we are predictable and can be easily gamed into abandoning the run to make us even more predictable
I think I heard someone say we call 9 plays before calling a run play. I believe we are conditioned to give up running ball, unfortunately.

We put up 50 points and over 550 yards at home vs Florida State
#1 Miami put up 43 points and over 550 yards at home against Florida state and went to overtime

I'm no football genius, but I think even I could scheme a defense to stop our offense.
1. Put two safeties back deep to take away the deep pass. Alabama will not commit to running the ball even if its working, so no need to worry too much about it.
2. Blitz on every play. Alabama does not run screens and draws - apparently we just don't have them in the playbook. So there is no drawback to blitzing all the time.
3. Play zone. M2M Bama's receivers are good enough to get open, but they don't seem to be trained to run to the soft spots in a zone.
4. Be on the lookout for funky, weird-looking formations. This is a tell that Alabama is about to run a quick-hitting play wide, be it a jet sweep or a quick pass to a WR. Crash on it.

Give me a shout out when FSU starts playing defense that's worth a shite.
The Miami game. Terrific, more Alabama transitive football. This is what we've been reduced to.
It's ok folks, we can surrender. We can all stop trying to contort this offense into something it's not.
