We almost lost to a 7-5 Tennessee team with, at the time, loud-arse mouthy Kiffin and as soon as it ended I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. It was such a near total disaster. I took almost zero joy out of it (and I hate Tennessee as much or more than anyone).

I just have trouble looking back on it with anybody more than a nervous wipe of the brow.

I see.

But, that was one of the most insane, loudest moments in BDS, ever.

And it was in 2009. We weren't exactly accustomed to showing up, and beating the shite out of everyone yet, and that game was the bottom point of Greg's string of bad outings.

Also, 2009 UT wasn't awful that year. They barely lost to UCLA, AU, and were in it for almost the whole game against #1 UF before losing by 10.

Then they caught a talented OM team at the end of the year and got beat pretty good. Kiffin had likely already checked out to be USC's coach by the time bowl game rolled around against VT.

As far as Rocky Stop goes, 2005 Tennessee WAS truly awful that season. Didn't even make a bowl.
