Terrion got picked on all A&M game but he held his own. Except for the jump ball. Tennessee has a legit 4.3 40 guy and then two tall freak athletes on the outside (if Tillman) plays. Ricks length will absolute help against these matchups. Kool-Aid and Arnold have struggled against the deep ball all year. Arnold is great but he’s young and people forget CeeDee Lamb abusing Pat Surtain his freshmen year. He’s a top 5 NFL corner now. There’s usually one game as a young starting corner you get picked on and I expect this to be the game for Arnold. Not saying he can’t hold up but I expect Ricks to see some snaps if he’s actually ready to play.

Eli Ricks gets BEAT too like I don't know what the heck you been watching but there's nobody on this team that COVERS better than Terrion Arnold.

Rick’s best skill is how he plays the ball in the air and his length. Both of those will be huge in this matchup. Arnold will be elite one day but he plays off of instinct and not technique a lot. There’s nothing wrong with that he’s really young but it shows up on tape. You can have a love fest over Arnold and still admit he’s young and still learning the position. A&M tested him and showed some of his weaknesses.

It's lyrics from a song.

Arnold may be the best cover DB, but he commits the most penalties also -- at least in the A&M game. I was screaming at him from my seat Saturday night. LOL. And I had a birds-eye view of the 4th quarter action right in front of our seats.

There's an opening there because Arnold got exposed on Saturday by a team that doesn't even pass the ball well.

Is Jackson injured or did he work himself out of the rotation?

Either way, if Ricks can figure it out there is PT to be had.

Kyree Jackson is really a safety who doesn't have the cover skills for this level. Terrion is good but he is young too. Tennessee has 4-5 really high level to stud level WRs.

McCoy, Tillman, Hyatt, and Keyton. And, they play in an offense that seemingly gets at least one of them open on every play.

I'd say that Tillman and Keyton aren't "high level." They are decent college WRs.

Tillman abused us last year and is absolutely elite when he’s healthy. He’s 6’2+ and has good speed.

Tennessee got 4 first round draft picks at the receiver position?

Where have I been!

That’s your answer to every argument lol. I’m starting to think you don’t actually watch film. Because if you actually watched film you’d see what im saying about Ricks and you’d also see what everyone else is saying about Arnold and some of his weaknesses at this stage in his career.

Terrion Arnold Baptism by Fire

I think folks aren't giving Arnold enough credit. He's starting over Ricks for a reason. Evan Stewart is a Smitty clone. He's going to be a huge problem for any defense for the next 3 years.

Ok, still not 4-5 elite WRs.

I absolutely agree he played well. Evan Stewart is really good. But he’s a true freshmen. And he’s not anything like the passing attack Arnold’s gonna see this weekend. I’m not saying he’s gonna suck this weekend but I could absolutely see Saban pull the cord on one of the corners to stop the bleeding if they keep getting beat deep

I never said 4 or 5 that was someone else. I was saying your claim of Tillman not being elite was wrong. I do think UT has a solid group of receivers though and I’m afraid a lot of our fan base is gonna find that out Saturday.

Yeah I don't know why people want to play rocky top down. When Ewers was in Texas was killing us.

A&M also threw for more against us than they did against MSU, Arkansas, Appalachian State and Miami.

We have some concerns in our secondary. Nothing wrong with pointing that out while also crediting rocky top for their passing game strength.
