Watching the film guy, While Grubbs is very creative in the pass game, not sure the running game is his strong suit just from a play design perspective.

Definitely CKD needs to rethink the entire foundation of the O Line in the off season. And it’s clear the way 26 is running is a problem.

I’ve said it before we need a massive upgrade at the O line coaching position. I get it that recruiting is an inexact “science” and some guys (for whatever reason) just don’t pan out.

However, Bama has signed mostly 4-5 star recruits at the O line positions. You cannot tell ALL or even most are busts. I refuse to believe that. The struggles have to be from mediocre coaching.

There's plenty of issues with the run game that have been dissected ad-naseum, but film guys that analyze this team closely seem to agree that the scheme DeBoer wants to run in terms of the ground game does not mesh with the personnel we currently have along the OL.

We need to find a way to piece it together for the rest of the season, and then look at how we are coaching it and maybe make some adaptations in the offseason.

I personally am not convinced that lighter, more mobile guys that pin and pull all game is ever going to work in the SEC. The DL are too heavy and LB too quick. Maybe it worked in the Pac 12 but I'm not sure about it now.
