Not saying I disagree wholeheartedly but other teams seem to be managing without the discipline and penalty issues

What other teams? Oregon just beat Ohio State and one of their players was ejected for spitting in someone's eye.

ESPN and big gambling companies have done their best to inject gambling into the sport. With all the guardrails gone, 18-22 year olds are tempted to throw games, sandbag, and point shave.

ESPN has been pushing paid players for years because they want to be able to talk about salaries like they do in the NFL.

ESPN has been pushing rules changes for years that have made the game much more chaotic and chancey because it means higher ratings.

Conferences go along with ESPN because $$$.

The only way to curb all this is to stop watching, stop paying, etc.

Because they actually have student athletes that want an education out of the deal. Few go to Vandy as a ladder to the NFL.

Vanderbilt does not hold its players to any higher academic standard than any other team. Read about some of what happened there under Franklin and come back talking about the "student athletes" at Vanderbilt.

Ok, maybe not but they are doing something right because they kicked the shite out of us with 2 and 3 stars. The game really wasn't as close as the score, IMO.
