Serious question, how many women are on that committee?

Easy to say this but they kept Bama out in favor of SMU last year. How much money did they lose by having a first round matchup of SMU vs Penn State instead of Bama vs Penn State? That decision probably cost them millions in viewership for that game.
The horizons were not tuned correctly. They weren't ready to kill the golden goose of CCG week. However, they may be so close to nailing down a 16-team playoff and seeing in real-time the faults in the current FBS calendar that they may let Alabama getting left out be the nuke that gives the airspace to do what I was suggesting: axe the CCG week, play the first round of a best 16 teams playoff that week instead.

They have a problem with this though, we are going to beat Georgia.

I’m not sure if last year’s debacle was as much the ACC Commissioner, though I am sure he was lobbying heavily, as it was an inept committee that was dying to do the “fairness” thing.
Regardless, their mess up was indeed the catalyst for change.
I agree that the conference championship game needs to go. Give the pennant to the team with the best record and let folks rest up for the playoffs.

Not sure many are aware that Texas Tech has the 2nd highest NIL collective in CFB. I read that they plan on spending $50 million a year on their roster. Oil money I assume.

Definitely oil money. West Texas is oil rich. I work in oil and gas research. Texas is ungodly rich.
