Is a very good coach but I don’t think he realized what he signed up for here. CKD forgot more about the X’s and O’s of football this morning than most of us will understand our entire lives. I don’t doubt his coaching ability, but being the head coach at Alabama is about a lot more than coaching football. Being the head coach at Alabama is like being the CEO of a Fortune 500 company and I don’t think CKD understood that when he took this job. He acts like he’s still at Washington or in South Dakota, but you can’t coach players here the same way you coach players there. Right now, CKD appears in over his head. This team is undisciplined, unfocused and is regressing instead of improving like you’d hope to see at this point in the year.

This team has a serious culture problem. There’s no accountability. Malachi Moore embarrasses the program at the end of the Vandy game and CKD stoically defends him, showing zero emotion about his team captain’s temper tantrum. Kendrick Law gets a dumb penalty that blows up a potential game tying drive and he immediately is put out there to return the ensuing kickoff. The lack of discipline and accountability with this team is an indictment of our coaching staff. CKD has got to start running a tighter ship or he won’t be successful here.

The first half of the Georgia game was a work of art. A total clinic. Perfection. What the frick happened after that?

I agree. He didn't know what he was getting into, here. This ain't the PAC12 or the Sunbelt, for sure. He's soft and weak and doesn't demand any kind of accountability nor adherence to any kind of standard nor any excellence. He doesn't want to put in the work nor make the tough decisions. This is not Alabama football.

He's not going to last long, here. The SEC is going to chew him up and spit him out and he'll be back to coaching Montana Technical State to a Div III playoff berth.

In retrospect, a two year success record at the highest level of football isn't adequate to pull a job like Bama.

Did they really go after Lanning? I know all the rumors about him turning the job down but I don’t know what to believe in this day of constant bs news. I know Sark wasn’t happening.

I think they ran it by Sarc and then went for Deboer.

I'm thinking maybe Kiffin should have been it. I didn't know Deboer was freakin Mr. Rogers
