National Signing Day is tomorrow.
BOL is predicting we lose JJ Finch and Javari Barnett to Tennessee and Illinois, respectively.

It appears we are replacing Finch with in-state DL Malique' Franklin. He is from Daphne. He had 98 tackles, 11 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and 19 hurries as a senior. He apparently didn't go to any camps and hardly played until a growth spurt before this season.

Reminds me of a longer, more productive Anthony Orr. Granted, been a long time since I watched Orr, but the movement is similar from what I remember — think Franklin is a better overall prospect though.
Bandit (SDE/field DE) type with the ability to move inside (3T) some. Explosive enough to help as an edge rusher, but not overly twitchy or bendy. Seems to have violent, heavy hands at times. Good motor based on highlights.
I like this addition for Alabama.

Yeesh. That must have been painful. Worth it considering he went from a non-recruit to signing with Alabama though.

I wonder what our WR room is going to look like next year. I have a feeling we'll lose a bunch of guys to the portal. I'll be interested to see whether Horton enters the draft or comes back for another year.

I really don't pay attention to recruiting enough to care about the recruiting ranking horse race all that much until the end. I've noticed that we're not at the very top despite a high quality class. Seems like other schools above us are taking more commits out of high school. Are we going to be more active in the portal this year than the last two?

It appears our strategy moving forward will be to take smaller high school classes (21-22) and save 5-6 spots for transfer portal additions.

Cant lie this kind of pisses me off. WTF is the General Manager doing? We have to offer the kid a day before signing day. Finch been taking trips and we just been sitting around waiting?

LOL didnt want Finch, Barnett, or Williams. I did want replacements for them tho. The kid from Daphne over Finch is a win imo. Finch highlights are terrible imo.
