I haven't seen anything to indicate that Bama wants Ja’Varrius Johnson.

With Urban Meyer about to retire again, Battle should be all Bama.

With limited numbers, can we take another safety? I have a feeling that a couple of really high rated players are gonna get left behind because they waited too long to commit

Jesus. Sean. The article is about the two sides of the rivalry. And in this case, Johnson grew up an Alabama fan and is now an Auburn commit. The author of the article stated Alabama wears “maroon and white”.

With Thompson about to jump to the NFL, Bama might have to take a extra safety that they hadn't planned on.

Some recruits are definitely going to be told no.

Bama might have to tell highly rated guys like Bowles and Turnage to go elsewhere just to have room for even higher rated recruits.

If the following want to come, who do you say no too?

Sanders
Neal
Webb
Dean
Sopsher
Ika
To'oto'o
Battle
Carter
Bogle

Bama has a great shot with all the above.

We take them all and tell the NCAA with their scholarship limitations to "kiss our arse! Roll Tide!"

Sometimes I don't have time to read every single link on this thread, between working/the gym/ and everything else I like to do I make time to keep with the Tide, forgive me if I don't read everything

I think there always a possibility that we can get two kids to gray shirt.
But I don't think we get everybody on that list especially if there not an Dec kid.
Any kid that takes it to signing day is 50/50 at best especially if it 5 stars were talking about.
I would hope we just find a way to get Sanders, Sopsher, Dean,Battle and Bogle
also in this class combined with what we have already.

That is what I was talking about earlier. We will know where the staff thinks we stand with every kid the day after early signing in December. Anyone they allow to sign of course is in, but some of those fringe players that don't sign could be an indication the staff is waiting on someone else. Which means you may see some of those fringe start looking at OVs at other schools come Jan which will be another tell.

Now Saban could close it down as well in December and sign the max but I doubt it.

I agree but based on what happen Saban's first early signing I could see him close to maxing this one out.
I think we have like 13 kids that are early entrance as of now and I think Sanders is also one.
But I love to see say 18 kids as early entrance if possible if that included Say Sanders, Dean,Webb, Bogle, Battle and a Neal.

What a recruit really thinks about certain programs and how it affects their decision. This is a quote from Q Crouch who says it is down to CU and UM but he will end up at CU and they have really always been his leader.

quote:

At Florida State and at Tennessee they're going to have to rebuild and I'm not sure how their players are going to be. They've got new coaches and it almost feels like the players are used to losing. They're going to have to change the culture and that's way bigger than football. I want to go somewhere I can plug in and work with guys that are just like me.

I wonder how many early entries we can actually take?
