Ika looks really good.Kid is fast quick and a great tackler. When he touches they fall.
We could definitely use him. Sopsher Dale and Ika in the middle. Malzahn's Awbarn is screwed.

Guess I am not as high on Ika as others are. He moves good for that size but we have not had that size DL in a while . Payne was not THAT big. Maybe Cochran could do work with him but he has some bad weight.
I wonder if moving Ika's Bama OV out to the weekend before the early signing period is any indication that he's behind Ty Robinson and Nathan Pickering on Bama's DL board. It does allow for hosting their OVs before hosting Ika's.

If I owned 247 I would immediately fire any scout that didnt have Alfano as a 5 star. That dude is an absolute freak!

Why do we keep getting CBs for Marcus Banks? Everything I have read is that hes pretty far down the DB draft board. Does anyone have any intel on this?

Could be. I am by no means hating on the kid . If the staff wants him, then I am all about some Ika, but right now he kinda looks like a “busted can of biscuits”

But he moves pretty well for a can of biscuits

Alfano will very likely get bumped up to 5-star.

I think Banks is behind Battle, Pola-Gates, Carter and Cross on the DB board. Some guys appear to make CB picks based on a kid's favorite without considering that he might not get a green light from that school.

Possibly, but I think it's more so of they (Saban) would rather big time recruits who they really like OV on non-game days to devote more time and resources to said recruit.
Iron Bowl is obviously a huge weekend for overall recruiting numbers but with a big game that the staff has to prepare for, naturally not as much 1-on-1 attention can go around for everyone.
If the staff specifically asked Ika to reschedule and he agreed, that's gotta be a great sign, imo.

Good points. Hosting mutiple OVs on a game weekend does hamper the amount of attention you can give them, but the big game atmosphere experience is a big plus that helps offset that downside. Bama appearing to lead for Ika may have also factored into his OV being a good choice to move (to reduce the number of Iron Bowl OVs).
