4-star CB Jeffery Carter 6-0/185 TX hudl ATM
Carter considered visiting Bama for the MSU game too but he's now set to visit for the Iron Bowl and will be at Tigah Stadium this Saturday. After ATM lost to MSU, Carter tweeted that he's decommitting from ATM, but he quickly deleted the tweet. Gigem247 mods say Carter claims he's still solid with ATM. But that reminds me of the UGA mods saying Hazlewood and Emery were still solid right before they decommitted.

At least one of our commits won't sign with us (Cheney). I'm sure there will be one or two more who leave as well.
I don't think it's all that likely that anyone other than Cheney drops out of the class. If Keilan Robinson's injury is serious and requires a long rehab, maybe he greyshirts. If Neal, Webb and Wright all want in, maybe Bowles would greyshirt or drop out. We'll see.
ETA: I asked Hank South to find out about Keilan Robinson's injury. Keilan said it's not serious and he should be playing again soon.

I hope I am wrong on Sopsher and you are correct.
Will believe it when I see it though. He will be under IMMENSE pressure to stay home and Lee likely going there as well will make it difficult for him

That "pressure" (harassment) is why Sopsher is handling his recruitment like he is publicly. Devonta Lee wants to come to Bama too, but there probably won't be room unless we miss on top priorty targets. Lee could play WR/flex-TE, S or ILB and is still being evaluated and recruited by Bama.

I assume the board would shift if Davis and Williams both decided to stay. The question is what other positions would become the priority?
Posted on 10/29/18 at 1:06 pm to TideWarrior
It looks like Bama wants to take 6 DLs (Sopsher in, Cheney out) regardless. We have 21 commits without Cheney, so that leaves only 8 spots to fill -- unless Jordan Davis didn't actually sign an NLI, Hatcher isn't actually on scholarship or someone greyshirts or leaves the class (additional room).
Top Priorities:
RB - Sanders
WR - Pickens (?)
OL - Webb (or Wright)
OT - Neal (or Wright)
DL - Sopsher (+1 ?)
ILB - Dean
ILB - To'oto'o
OLB - Thibodeaux
DB - 1-2 Hill, Carter, Pola-Gates... (fluid)
Folks who are clamoring for Wandale Robinson and Ika should take a look at that list. Who do they think should be dropped in order to fit them in? Neither of them fills a pressing need.

Can Davis sign this year? Thought he had one more at JUCO?

I could have understood this mindset back around 2008. But in 2018, this mentality baffles me. How many elite guys will we sign out of that state and a small segment of our fans will still be "shocked" when we sign them? Why is it so difficult to believe? Not trying to criticize you personally, but I mean... my goodness.. we have made a killing out of Louisiana. Not every single year. But several years.

Jordan Davis can't enroll at UA until Jan-2020. Dec-2019 is the earliest he can graduate Juco and that's his target.

I am mainly referring to the posts that insinuate he is committed or is a “lock”to Bama. I mean I wouldn’t put anything past our staff and their abilities but LSU feels good about him as well. According to him he stays in contact with O more than any other coach is all I am saying . Like I say hope he comes

That fluid family shows up on our recruiting board almost every year. They must have one helluva high school program with all the prospects the Fluids churn out. More prolific than the Goode clan out of Town Creek.

Yea, I don't think anyone is a "lock" anymore. Lia might be as close to a lock as possible, but anything could happen.

No, they really don't.

Their mods and “insiders” do. Fans on TRant....... not so much. They are preparing themselves for him coming to Bama to lighten the meltdown if it happens
Posted on 10/29/18 at 1:46 pm to Bear88
Their mods and insiders either need better intel or are being too homerific.
ETA: Their mods might be playing up LSU's chances with Sopsher to promote clicks, perception of recruiting momentum and to keep posters calmer for now. If Bama doesn't have room to take Devonta Lee, LSU mods will portray it as a big recruiting battle win. They're already portraying it as LSU leading in the battle.

Expect Wandale Robinson to pick Nebraska on Thursday.
BOL is saying we have decided to focus on other need areas instead of him.
