Im guessing you dont have an relationship with your neighbors lol. You seem awfully cheerful.

Nah, I don't know many of my neighbors. The folks around here mostly keep to themselves

Damn, Cobra where do you live?

I live in Center Point. It's North East of Birmingham. Was a nice area at one time, not so much now

Definitely not the Center Point I grew up around about 25-30 years ago. Have to be careful Cobra and make sure you're always packing.

Halloween night about 11 or 12 yrs ago, my next door neighbor (a very wealthy man... kind of stuck out because this was a middle class neighborhood, and he owned a big mansion in the middle of it) - about 75-80 years old or so - was murdered in his house. It was one of his grandson's friends that knew he had a bunch of money. The guy was on drugs and needed quick money. My neighbor refused to let him in, so the guy shot him. It just wounded him initially, so he (neighbor) got his gun and shot the intruder. It just wounded the intruder. The intruder got a knife and stabbed my neighbor to death. The amazing thing is that I was home the entire time and nobody in our neighborhood heard a thing. Crazy. It took them years to sell that house.

I'll add to it. The murderer was badly wounded. Made it about 12 miles down Highway 72 into Madison (I live in Athens) to the County line, where he called 911. An ambulance came and picked him up. He survived, but was tried for murder. I believe he was on death row last I heard.

It's horrible now. During the 80s it was a blast. I graduated from Erwin in 94 and it wasn't bad then.

That's was the best Taco Bell around. Always had a 100 on their health score. It's so bad around here that the damn Taco Bell closed down. Gotta go to Trussville now

Cobra, I was coaching at Fultondale when you finished! I graduated UA in December of '93 and was hired there in January. Spent 5 1/2 years there before moving away to Sylacauga. Small world!!! We were up at Center Point HS a couple of weeks ago for a Region game. Nice school but definitely not the area I remember!!!

Dude, you live in Magnolia Trace (or whatever they call them these days)?

You need to move out where me and Alahunter live. The only gunshots are at coyotes. Not people.

Used to hang out at the car wash with my grandpa back in the day. Then we’d walk down to Sweet Treats where he’d buy us a pack of cards. Good times

So that's the secret to all the transfers to Hewitt-Trussville.

Tennessee is in the mix for a couple 5 stars in Darnell Wright and Quavaris Crouch. Do we land one of them?

I think Quavaris Crouch ends up elsewhere but Tennessee has a good shot at Darnell Wright. Alabama is tough to beat in any recruiting battle, but Wright has a lot of Tennessee supporters in his camp and the distance from home is much better. However, many feel the Tide will win this battle in the end but I think it’s a toss-up. The Vols have done a good job recruiting both players and staying in the mix against playoff teams. Even if they lose both, I’m impressed with the job they have done. Imagine if they can land Wright along with Wanya Morris what that would do for their offense down the line.
