Because of that he always wanted to see Alabama when a National Title with an African American QB.

Man I really wanted Blake to win it his lone season as the starter. He’s one of my all time favorites (at least he got an SEC Championship ring and beat AU).

An Oregon mod CBd Siaki "Apu" Ika to Bama. Ika now has 9 CBs -- 100% to Bama, including Hank, Wiltfong, Angulo (Mtn region) and a Utah mod.

The reports of Blake breaking down and crying after the game were so heartbreaking. He worked so hard at Bama and was a great teammate. It would have been great to see him go out with a Natty as the starting QB..

Yep. I'm a major Blake Sims fan.

Blake Sims -- College Career

After spending 2010 to 2013 as a running back and backup quarterback, Sims started his first career game during the opener of his senior season in 2014 after beating Jake Coker for the job.

On September 20, 2014, he threw for 445 yards against Florida, which was the second most in school history behind Scott Hunter's 484 in 1969.

On December 6, 2014 Sims broke the Alabama single season passing yards record held by AJ McCarron. In 14 starts, he passed for 3,487 yards, 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

He lost in the semifinals to Ohio State, which later won the championship.

He threw the prettiest deep ball of any QB we have had.

It's 1:30 in the afternoon here and I'm pretty bored so I'm going to post the 247 Sports' evaluations for all of the prospects we have in our Top Targets list, if they have one. Enjoy.

TREY SANDERS

7.25.16: Sanders is a do-it-all athlete who could end up on either side of the ball on the next level. He is a natural running back with power, speed and a great feel for the position. He has always been very productive at that position, but he may have more upside on the defensive side of the ball. He is a striker on defense with strength and the ability to turn the ball over. He is a little more raw as a defensive back at this stage, and he needs to improve his coverage skills. He takes coaching well, he loves to compete, and he is going to work to get where he needs to be to be the best.

DEONDRICK GLASS

Glass plays for a program that has been tradition-rich with producing D1-level running backs and he is next in line and may end up being the best of a strong bunch. He runs with a good center of gravity and balance and that makes him hard to easily knock off of his feet. He will make yardage after first contact. He can pick up the tough yardage in the middle of the field, but has the speed and power to make long-distance plays as well. - Greg Powers

JERION EALY

Ealy lines up all over the football field. You see him at running back, then in the slot, then he slides to the outside receiver position, and on special teams, he is returning punts. He is on the smaller side, but he plays big, and more importantly, he plays tough. He has that no fear attitude on the football field. He wants the ball, he wants to make plays and he makes plays many probably wouldn't expect him to make. He has great acceleration when he gets the ball and he while he is quick and shifty, he knows when to turn it up the field. He has great hands at receiver and he will be able to use that on the next level to raise his value as a prospect. Ealy flashes great balance and he loves to use the spin move to avoid contact and would-be tacklers. He has great feet, he has a great feel for the game and he is a dynamic player.

DEVONTA LEE

Lee is a physical, aggressive wide receiver. He has a great body and frame for a high school receiver and he could draw some attention as an H-Back or flex-out tight end due to his size and skill-set too. He has shown he will fight for the football and he will go up in coverage and make the tough catches. He can catch the ball across the middle or down the field. His route running needs improvement and he can improve his speed and explosiveness as well. He is an athlete who also plays basketball, so he has very good coordination and he will be one of the best in the state of Louisiana for 2019.

DYLAN WRIGHT

Wright is a big-bodied wide receiver who is one of the top deep ball threats in the state of Texas. A true vertical field-stretcher who made the move to receiver from quarterback, so he has a cerebral approach to the game. Wright has tremendous leaping ability and his long arms supply a plus catch radius. Because of his overall upside and raw athleticism Wright is a prospect who will have national-level Power Five conference schools chasing him with offers. - Greg Powers

PIERCE QUICK

Pierce Quick is still early in his development but his rapid progression has landed him on the edge of one of the top offensive line units in Alabama. Settling at right tackle, his 6-foot-5 frame and arm length enable him to play patient on the front side while his above-average feet allow him to slide and redirect with true edge rushers. Quick has enough power to bury opponents as a run blocker along with the fluidity to impact the second-level and/or screen game. As he continues to fill out and add strength, it won't be a surprise to see Quick play either tackle spot at the highest level thereafter. -- John Garcia, Jr.

DARNELL WRIGHT

Wright came a long way during his sophomore season, and his ceiling is incredibly high. He can be a cornerstone left tackle in college. He has length, athleticism, quick feet and he is explosive. Refining his technique is the key. He drives well in the running game, but he needs to be more precise with his hand placements. As he adds strength, he will be difficult to disengage from for the defensive player. He can get to the second level quickly. In pass protection, he moves his feet quickly to protect the outside. His length allows him to stem momentum of the rusher with an initial punch. He must continue to develop his kick step, but his feet are quick and he slides well so he is able to make up for that in high school. -- Brian Dohn

ISHMAEL SOPSHER

SOPHOMORE EVAL: Sopsher is a force in the trenches. He has a great frame, he plays with power and he is only going to get better. He relies on his size and natural strength to win many battles now, so he needs to improve his technique and his stamina. He plays hard when the whistle blows, but he can slow down as the play develops and as the game progresses. He moves very well for a lineman of his size and he can get up the field to make plays. He plays a lot of five-technique now, and he could play that in a 3-4 scheme on the next level, but he may have the most upside moving inside to defensive tackle. He can bull rush and use initial quickness to get into the backfield. As he develops he could be one of the best in his class.

ANTONIO ALFANO

Alfano ended his freshman year by camping for school and earning offers. He is explosive, possesses plus strength, can change direction well and he runs well. He played defensive end as a freshman but as his body matures and he gets older, a move inside is likely. He needs to continue to develop his technique, particularly his hand quickness. He is a plus athlete. -- Brian Dohn

DEMARVIN LEAL

Leal is a versatile defensive line prospect who has the size to play defensive tackle and the explosion and quickness to play defensive end. He will have a quickness advantage when lined up on the outside shoulder of an offensive guard and can get pressure in the backfield consistently. As a run-stopper, Leal strikes quickly and uses his hands to control offensive linemen. - Greg Powers

SHANE LEE

Lee plays downhill and fills run gaps well. He played as a freshman at Baltimore Gilman before transferring. He already has very good strength and he reads plays well in front of him. His first two steps are quick and sudden. He can close on the ball carrier, and he plays aggressively. --Brian Dohn
