I still don't. Once USC decides to recruit him they will land him imo
USC isn't recruiting him because they know he wants to leave California. Plus, Clay Helton isn't the man who Lynn Swan hired; Pat Haden hired him. Unless Helton does something significant this season I think he's gone.

How does USC not recruit kayvon. I mean really who cares who coaches, nobody passes on a guy like that. It'll be hard to pass that up, he would be the man in L.A. Cali love

What are our chances of flipping Pickens? How solid is he to AU? I’d love for him to be our almost annual Auburn flip that melts the Booger fan base.

Wow. To be fair, last cycle Terry made four picks, all in Jan 2018: Justin Ross, Isaac Taylor-Stuart and Jacob Copeland to UA, Tyson Campbell to UGA. Ross had said he was coming at that point, but then got family blessings to go to Clemson. ITS and Copeland wanted in, but Bama opted to take other DBs instead and passed on Copeland. Terry (aka "Lucky") probably gets his Bama pick intel mainly from Tim and Hank. I suspect he talked to Wiltfong initially on Thibodeaux and then Tim and Hank. So yeah, it's a good sign.
Yeah, I was trying too make sure I wasn't being to harsh on Shannon, just realistic. I believe if NSD was today the CB's would be accurate, but it is hard for me to believe Thibodeaux has already committed. Sanders I can see but I think KT's commitment has a long way to go.
Speaking of Sanders, I had mentioned earlier how we had a chance to have a record class with out a single Florida commit. It seems now like we will get Sanders and possibly Neal (yes I am a Neal Stan along with Stevenson). It is funny how similar Sanders' and Neal's recruitments have been. Both attend IMG and committed to Bama early in the process. Both have maintained an interest in Bama even when most thought they had moved on. Both have mothers who would rather have them close to home (Sanders/Florida and Neal/Miami). Kids who decommit usually don't recommit but I am really interested to see if Neal comes back as I already expect Sanders to.

Kool has been speaking with graduate transfer OLB/DE Walter Brady.
Brady was a Freshman All-American at Missouri back in 2014 when he had 7 sacks. He got dismissed from Mizzou for some reason and ended up at Middle Tennessee State.
Kool was his D-Line coach at Missouri as well.
Potential fill in for Lewis?

This will make Cap happy about the Walter Brady news:
In-state kid.

The nation’s No. 1 center recruit in five-star Clay Webb told 247Sports he spent most of this camp season fine-tuning his technique as he’ll be asked to play several positions across the front as a senior for Oxford (Ala.) High. So while Webb maybe didn’t dominate some of the national events like he was expected to, and quite frankly like he did last summer, it was a beneficial camp season for the blue-chipper as he got himself better for his final prep season. He flexed his muscles on this stage Tuesday with a dominant performance. The scouting report remains the same in my opinion. State champion wrester at 6-foot-3, 289-pounds, who is tough, has terrific feet and is going to play with great leverage in pads. It would be surprising if he’s not one of the best interior offensive linemen in the country on the next level.
Where Webb plays on the next level remains to be seen. Alabama is the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite but he maintains he’s strongly considering Auburn, Clemson and Georgia as well and has no idea what he’s going to do for school.
Webb ranks as the nation’s No. 11 prospect regardless of position.

Alabama commits in quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and tight end Jahleel Billingsley were able to get some work together, often pairing up together in 1-on-1s. The 5-foot-11, 203-pound Tagovailoa can fire the football, and Billinglsey has flashed major upside this summer including at the Ohio Nike Football Training Camp a couple months ago. As it stands right now, he may not be your swiss-army knife tight end that can also play attached and block on the perimeter, but there aren’t many better stretch-the-the field tight ends in this class than the 6-foot-4, 216-pound Billinglsey (4.64 laser-timed speed in the 40-yard dash) who should be a mismatch problem, especially once he develops physically in Tuscaloosa. He has a big frame to fill out, and all the ability to be a difference-maker for the Crimson Tide.
Sounds like a young Jimmy Graham.

WATCH: DL Kayvon Thobodeax footage from The Opening Finals
quote:
Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian defensive lineman Kayvon Thibodeaux was among the top players we saw at The Opening Finals this past week.
Thibodeaux came in to The Opening Finals with a lot on the line. As the No. 1 rated player nationally in the 247Sports Composite, the talented defensive end came in with a big target on his back but quickly showed he was up to the challenge.
Thibodeaux had a very good week in what was a loaded group of defensive linemen. He did nothing to lose spot as the nation's top player and it was as good a showing as we have seen from him. He was explosive off the edge, showed a powerful bull rush and competed extremely hard.
He looked like a different player from the The Opening Regional in SoCal where he still impressed but wasn't nearly as dominant as some expected him to be. You could tell he came in motivated with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, set to prove he was the top dog in the nation. He took reps at both right and left defensive end, went up against every top tackle in the camp and dominated.
He finished the week 14-5-1 during his one on ones and had the second best winning percentage among all defensive linemen behind only Jacob Bandes. He also tested well finishing with the No. 12 Rating in the event at 121.32. Thibodeaux measured in at a solid 6-5, 239 pounds and has plenty of room to fill out and add strength. His upside is extremely high and he definitely has the look of a player who can step in and make an immediate impact at the next level.
On the recruiting front, Thibodeaux recently cut his list to five schools headlined by Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Oregon and USC. He said he'll take a few official visits during the season but hasn't decided where and when just yet.
We could see a decision sometime in November or December and Alabama and Florida State have a lot a lot of the early buzz right now. Saying that, he loved his visit to Oregon, has a great relationship with Florida's defensive staff and has called USC 'home' several times. To see all of Thibodeaux's one on one reps from The Opening Finals, check out the video above.
