Kamaar Bell -- There was a trench talent portion of the day Thursday and although it was shorter, nobody was as consistent as Bell. The big Moultrie (GA) Colquitt County offensive lineman worked exclusively at center and didn't clearly lose a rep while 247Sports was focused on that portion of the day.

He is a wide body who few try to attack internally, so he was prepared for and combated those trying to use speed, quickness and sophisticated pass rush moves to defeat him. Bell anticipated spins, fakes and lateral cuts and handled each with power and a solid punch.

The senior will play in the SEC at the next level with Alabama, Auburn and Florida dominating the current conversation surrounding his name.

Kristian Story -- Another 2020 standout, the versatile Lanett (AL) star plays all over the field for the defending state champions. On Thursday we saw him at quarterback, his bread and butter position, as well as wide receiver, cornerback and safety with his athleticism. Story flashed at all of them, part of the reason he is considered an athlete by 247Sports, but the conversation could begin shifting back to the quarterback position as he progresses.

The strong-armed Tennessee commitment was accurate and pushed the ball down the field and beyond the numbers all day long despite yet to really focus on the position in any offseason, something he's going to do for the first time in 2018 complete with a trip to the Manning Passing Academy later this month. His coach and father, Clifford Story, said Tennessee and other SEC programs are considering projecting him solely as a passer now more than ever. Alabama gets him on campus next.

Daxton Hill -- The No. 1 player in Oklahoma is set to return to Tuscaloosa this weekend for an official visit. Hill also visited Alabama for the the Tide's spring game. He has high interest in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but many believe he could leave the state.

Alabama and Ohio State seem like the most likely destinations if he leaves his home state. His older brother, Justice Hill, is the starting running back at Oklahoma State. It likely will not play a factor in his decision.

Nakobe Dean -- This is certainly one of the most highly anticipated visits of the summer for the Crimson Tide based on a major need at the inside linebacker position. This is likely Dean's only official visit this summer meaning the Tide's toughest competition, like Georgia and LSU, will receive visits during or after the season.

Dean visited Alabama earlier this spring. He is considered one of Alabama's key targets in the 2019 class. He is an excellent student on-and-off the field. Alabama's Dean of Engineering, Dr. Charles Karr, has also stayed in communication with the No. 1 linebacker.

DeMarvin Leal -- Leal committed to Texas A&M in April, but it hasn't stopped schools like Alabama and Texas from recruiting the elite defensive lineman. Leal is keeping an open mind, and many believe Alabama has a real shot to flip the Aggie commitment. Alabama will not mind to offer a little payback to Texas A&M after the carousel with Bobby Brown in the 2018 class.

Leal continues to see his stock soar in the Rivals rankings. He made a big move in the recent update of the Rivals250. Some believe he has five-star talent. His size, speed and athleticism can be quite dangerous at the next level. He is definitely one of Alabama's top-tier targets on the defensive front.

John Metchie -- Alabama is still looking for its first wide receiver commitment in the 2019 class. The Tide will host some elite receivers this weekend (mostly unofficial visitors). Alabama will roll out the carpet for one of the top East Coast receivers in Metchie. New receivers coach Josh Gattis recruited Metchie when he was at Penn State.

This appears a tight battle between Alabama and Penn State. Metchie doesn't claim any favorites, but will make a decision at the end of the summer. He took an official visit to Penn State last weekend. Alabama will court him this weekend. He does not have any other visits scheduled at this time.

4-star WR Mycah Pittman 6-1/195 (CA) hudl

“Most likely I will be deciding later this month or in early July,.. I’m done with visits. I’ve already seen everything I need to see, so now I’m just taking the next few days to think about what’s best for me and where I want to go and then I’ll be ready to do this.”

Per the article it'll be either Florida or Oregon.

LINK ]Turnage feels better about pledge now than when he committed (BamaOnLine-VIP)

4* WR/DB LINK ]Brandon Turnage 6-1/185 (MS) hudl

Turnaged camped at Bama last Saturday. He worked out at safety, which he likes playing, and really likes Coach Scott. Saban met with him and said he likes him as a player and the leadership he showed during camp, being first up in drills, trying to help other campers, etc.

Turnage also spent time with Pierce, Paul and Taulia. He's excited about the talent in the class and felt more love from Bama on this visit than he did before. He's been listening to UGA, UF, LSU, OM and MSU, but said his commitment is solid. It seems like he's keeping other options open due to concern about being recruited over.
