So with the Hellams commitment that leaves us with 11 initial counter spots for the 2019 class.

We are in on 12 current 5 star recruits if you count flip targets.

RB Trey Sanders
ATH Quavaris Crouch
DE Nolan Smith - UGA commit
OC Clay Webb
OT Darnell Wright
DT Faatui Tuitele
DT Ishmael Sospher
LB Nakobe Dean
LB Kayvon Thibodeaux
S Daxton Hill
CB Akeem Dent - FSU commit
CB Andrew Booth

My question is what is your confidence level that we get a commit for each 5* prospect as of now? Use whatever scale you like just interested in what people think.

High Confidence
OC Clay Webb - 9.5/10 - hate that he is waiting until December.
DT Faatui Tuitele - 9/10 - looks really good with pre-season commit.

Confident
RB Trey Sanders - 8/10 - Looks better and better each day.
OT Darnell Wright - 8/10 - Not sure if a lock, but I like where we stand.
S Daxton Hill - 7.5/10 - For some reason, I just feel like he ends up here.

Wish I was more confident
DT Ishmael Sospher - 6.5/10 - Everyone keeps telling me not to worry but still not sure.
LB Nakobe Dean - 6.5/10 - See Sospher comment

Toss-up
LB Kayvon Thibodeaux - 5/10 - Could end up anywhere relatively speaking
CB Akeem Dent - FSU commit - 5/10 - I think he is giving us a strong look but we have a lot of guys on the board too.

Low Confidence
CB Andrew Booth - 2/10 - Haven't heard much lately on him, is he high on the board?
DE Nolan Smith - UGA commit - 1/10 - likes visiting but not flipping.

???????
ATH Quavaris Crouch - ?/10. - What is up with his recruitment? Does he just play it close to the vest or is he no longer that interested?

This is going to be tight. A lot of interesting questions right now. How many WR/DBs will we take and who, where does Bell fall, which guys will we wait on no matter what, will we lose anyone, etc.

Just as a random aside I keep seeing Diabate as the next Kwon Alexander and us not having space for him

Your assessment is good, imo. But I'm more confident about Sopsher and Dean than you seem to be.

Jeffery Carter, Alfano, Kight and Pickering might get a 5th star later on.

I like Diabate too. I've noticed his recruitment has been oddly quiet.

I sense Crouch is shying away from the level of competition and hard work at Bama.

I think Bell might be willing to be a blueshirt if necessary. Hank agreed with me about that.

We could get some commits from all these June visits, including RB, WR, TE, OL, LB & DB targets.

If Jordan Davis doesn't qualify, he still counts against the NCAA's new limit of 25 signees (per academic year) for 2018. But the way that new rule is written is like the 25 signees limit is sort of separate from the annual 25 initial counters limit. So if he doesn't qualify and enroll, idk if we can then use the 2018 initial counter spot (he would've taken) for a 2019-cycle early enrollee. We might be able to, because in doing so I don't think we'd exceed 25 signees during the 2018 academic year. Bullovas, Brannon and Parks are 2018 initial counters but were 2017 signees.

So Bama people were right about Nadeb Joseph and Georgia's were wrong. In JUCO.

I was really suprised no one posted this on the SECrant recruiting board about Joseph. I was looking forward to seeing how Kirby was going to get him in, if we were struggling with him. I feel for the kid, hope he wasn't sold a bunch of false hope.

A sideline reporter tweeted this
quote:

UDFA WR Robert Foster started opposite Kelvin Benjamin at wideout in first 11/11.

Good for Foster. I hope he has a great career. 95% of players would have transferred, but he stuck it out.

Man we are going to load up on 5 stars this year. Quick is on board already, Knight and alfano very likely can get 5th stars. Webb, tuitele look very likely, and we have better than even odds for like 3 to 5 more. My guess is we end up with 8 5 stars. Plus some of our lower level 4 star guys are going to make a big push this season to climb the rankings, like Dale and tagovailoa. Both guys could easily get up into the top 100. Would be awesome if we ended up with all 4 and 5 star guys, and our only 3 star is a kicker and the #1 or #2 at the position

I don't think so. According to Hank's sauces he'll enroll for the Summer-II term. His school let out later than most. Word is him qualifying is not a concern now.

Can't he go ahead and move down? He really needs to be in our summer strength and conditioning program if he hopes to play this year.

JMO but I believe Kirby understand there was little chance the kid would qualify BUT the fact he flipped someone from Bama's side was much more important. Taking the player from Juco will still be a win.

We got another CB for Tuitele from Texas mod EJ Holland.

A&M has the last 2 CB’s for Christian Harris from Holland and A&M mod Brian Perroni.

That’s fine as long as we get Dean. We definitely don’t want to lose out on both Dean and Harris.

It was a fallacy that UGA flipped him, not a fact. The fact is Bama would not let him sign an NLI due to concerns he would not qualify. Tim Watts reported that fact at the time, but UGA fans wrote it off as just bs from the Bama camp, bragging that he would enroll early at UGA.

You can flip whoever, win a recruiting battle head to head, and get someone to transfer to your school, but in the end the only real win is on the field. So have the other so called wins and I will take the NC any day of the week.

We really need to get Dean and Harris. We're thin at ILB and will only be thinner once Wilson goes pro. Hopefully we can close the deal with them both.

Yep, Bama essentially pulled his offer because we knew he wasn't going to qualify. Kirby didn't care because he was going for the perception of flipping a Bama kid and landing the #1 class. Guess it worked in the short run, but it won't help him on the field when they see us in Atlanta come December.

Idk know if he has to wait on qualifying clearance by the NCAA before he can move in and start working out. I assume everything is being done that can be to get him situated at UA asap.
